Model of the Moment: Cara Delevingne

At only twenty years young, Cara Delevingne, has cemented her place in the modeling world. She can be easily recognized anywhere due to her iconic thick eyebrows and cat-­‐like eyes. Delevingne has made huge strides in the fashion industry in a span of just three years, as she is currently the face of Burberry Beauty and graces the covers of several magazines such as i-­‐D and Vogue. The British bombshell’s editorial work and advertising campaigns are something to be commended. She has been photographed for Vogue Italia, Chanel, Vogue Russia, American Vogue, Elle France, DSquared2, Harper’s Bazaar, and more. Her looks channel both commercial and editorial shoots perfectly. She’s also been featured in campaigns for famous street style companies Zara, H&M, and ASOS. Delevingne has graced the runway over 60 times in 2012 alone, which most recently included the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. She ranks #25 on Models.com and was named the British Fashion Awards Model of the Year. What makes her so sought after though is not just her versatility and edgy look—it’s her personality. The fashion industry is an intimidating place and the women appear to lack personality. A lot of the times, the reputation of the industry is cut throat and even pretentious. Off the camera and away from the runway however, Delevingne stands apart from the rest as she is none of these things.
