Hamilton plays in Griz stadium Friday MICHELLE McCONNAHA Ravalli Republic
This Friday night, the dream of playing football in WashingtonGrizzly Stadium will come true as two high school teams get to play on the University of Montana campus in Missoula. The Hamilton High School Broncs will battle the Salmon, Idaho, Savages in a non-conference football game 7 p.m., Friday, August 29. “These games represent an opportunity for student athletes to play on a field in which they have dreamed of playing on since they were young,” said Darrell Holland, Activities Director for Hamilton High. “In this day of football, it is hard to make it on to any D-1 [Division 1] school in any state but we can allow student athletes the opportunity to create a memory that will last forever regardless of

how their high school career ends.” The Billings Wolves Indoor Football League (IFL) has organized this game on Friday night as a fundraiser for their organization. Ticket prices will be $6 for everyone - no conference or school passes will be honored. Marc Burr, general manager of the Billings Wolves, is organizing the event. There will also be two games on Saturday for other teams. “Hopefully this opening weekend schedule of games will become a tradition for our athletes in Montana,” said Holland. “This will be a great opportunity for our football team to represent us on the field and represent the state of Montana.”
