The works of abstract painter master Zao Wou-Ki have been widely collected by leading art museums for his outstanding art achievements. Aside from being a member of the Académie des BeauxArts, Zao received the Grand Ofﬁcier de la Legion d’honneur, the Grande Medaille Vermeil de la Ville de Paris, and the Tenno Award of Japan. The present exhibition is a large-scale and full retrospective of Zao’s works in Asia over the last 30 years. Works at the exhibition include the collections of museums in Taiwan as well as from private collections in Taiwan, France, Hong Kong and Geneva. Some with recordbreaking prices in auctions will also be premiered in the exhibition.

As one of the three giants of impressionism, Eugène Gauguin has fully fused his travel experiences with art. With over 200 works, the exhibition attempts to walk closer to the artist ’ s mysterious world. Through his emphasis of the modernity during his creation period (1848-1903), and his ability to push media to their extreme, you will be surprised to discover that Gauguin is as magical as an alchemist.

To commemorate the centenary of sculpture master Auguste Rodin, the Cleveland Museum of Art with the widest collection of Rodin ’s works will launch the “Rodin – 100 Years.” In ’ ge da’ irain” addition to one of Rodins’ casts of“LÂ (The Age of Bronze) collected by the museum in 1913, five years before Rodin’s death, “Le Penseur” (The Thinker) will be erected at the entrance to welcome all audiences.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art (the Met) in New York will present to the audience the largest exhibition of Michelangelo’ s works in the Met’s history. As an artist giant of the Renaissance, Michelangelo was an expert of painting, sculpture, architecture, and design. A total of 150 works, three marbles, and other works will be displayed. The “ Tormento di sant’Antonio” that the artist made at age 12 will be the highlight of the exhibition.

This is the ﬁrst large-scale retrospective of the legendary US artist and Hon RA Jasper Johns since his settlement in the UK forty years ago. The exhibition includes over 150 paintings, sculptures, printed matters, and drawings. Audiences will also have the rare opportunity to see the artist’s works from private collectors and museums worldwide.

放眼近現代書畫在二十世紀中葉之後的發展，繼眾所皆知的「渡海三家」──張大千、溥心畬、黃君璧之後，唯一能接續傳統、再創新境，並且深受世人所激賞者，想來非江兆申莫屬。原因無他，江兆申不但在書畫詩文篆刻的成就斐然，於藝術史的研究也同樣深具獨到見解，為學界所稱許。無論詩書畫印、人文思想，在其身後都留下了極大的影響。 The Masterpieces of Zhang Daqian, Pu Ru and Huang Junbi have been the most sought-after gems in Modern Chinese Paintings since the Mid-20th Century, and Chang Chao-Shen has been recognized as one of the few artists that could be comparable to these ink masters.
