Szechuan Chicken - Chinese Five Spice Powder RawSpiceBar A healthier, authentic version of Szechuan chicken, ready in under 20 minutes with freshly ground Chinese ďŹ ve spice powder.
Ingredients 1 tbsp RawSpiceBar's Chinese Five Spice Powder 3 tbsp dark sesame oil, divided 1/2 cup chicken broth 2 tbsp soy sauce 1 tbsp rice vinegar 2 tsp chile sauce 2 tsp cornstarch Kosher salt, to taste 2 tablespoons canola oil, divided 1 lb boneless chicken breast, cut into pieces 1 yellow & red bell pepper, diced 1 cup snow peas, chopped 1 onion, diced 1 inch fresh ginger, minced 2 cloves garlic, minced 2 cups cooked rice, hot 1/4 cup scallions, diced 1/4 cup peanuts
Directions 1. Combine 2 tbsp sesame oil, Chinese five spice powder, broth, soy sauce, rice vinegar, chile sauce and cornstarch in a small bowl. 2. Heat large skillet over medium-high heat. Add canola oil and heat. Add chicken, stir-fry 2 minutes. Remove chicken from pan. 3. Add more canola oil and heat in skillet. Add bell peppers, ginger, garlic, snow peas and onion and stir fry, 4-5 minutes. Add broth mix, cook 1-2 minutes. Add chicken to pan and cook through, 4-5 minutes. Serve with rice & enjoy!
