CITY OF GLENDALE PUBLIC FACILITIES, RECREATION & SPECIAL EVENTS DEPARTMENT 5970 W. Brown St., Glendale, AZ 85302 (623) 930.2820 | www.glendaleaz.com
FROM THE DIRECTOR I am pleased to let you know that the Public Facilities, Recreation, & Special Events Department (PFRSE) joins an elite group of park and recreation agencies across the United States by earning re-accreditation through the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA) and the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA). There are only ten agencies in Arizona with this certification and fewer than 200 agencies in the country. We’re thrilled to add this accomplishment to Glendale’s accolades making it a Community of Choice.
We exercise quality assurance and make improvements so you can enjoy excellent parks, entertaining special events, and engaging recreation programs. As we kick-off 2022, we encourage you to play at a park, get out on a trail, join us at a special event, or participate in a recreation activity. We look forward to seeing you out there!
Respectfully,
James P. Burke,
James P. Burke, Director Public Facilities, Recreation & Special Events
Public Facilities, Recreation & Special Events Mission Statement A partnership of employees and community working together to create a better quality of life for Glendale through the provision of excellent parks, recreational programming, special events, tourism, and neighborhood and community facilities.
