The archive is composed of many forms of media but the most relevant source category that I want to use for this project is testimony. Galicia has been historically dismissed and ignored by Spanish authorities, which have defended themselves with unintelligible paperwork and unacknowledged the opinions and the ways of life of the rural. Ignoring the other forms of being wise. I want to give the voice and the space to all these oral stories and testimonies in this project to be respected, public free access and decentralised for all Galicians and everyone who is interested.

Galician culture was oppressed and punished to painful extents during the civil war and it only became worse during the dictatorship. It was forbidden to speak our language in the street, it was forbidden to write and read in it. Anyone willing to keep on doing so would have been exiled or executed.

Using video footage taken by locals helps to honour those silenced voices. Through translating these messages to English this project looks to further `project their message to new audiences.

The archive also includes old documents of Franco's pact and surveys by ecologists that evidence the emergency of help that the landscape needs.

The poetry book written by Suso Diaz is a main reference for my research, as his intention was to capture the memory of the valley in time forever through those words.
