CITY OF REVELSTOKE BYLAW No. 2008

Being a Bylaw to Authorize Charging Fees for Various Services and Goods

WHEREAS the Council of the City of Revelstoke, Province of British Columbia, deem it necessary to establish fees and charges for various municipal services and goods. NOW THEREFORE the Council of the City of Revelstoke, Province of British Columbia, in open meeting assembled enacts as follows. 1.

THAT this Bylaw may be cited as the "Fees and Charges Bylaw No. 2008".

2.

THAT the fees and charges for goods and services provided by or conducted by the City of Revelstoke be established as outlined in Schedules A through H attached hereto and forming part of this bylaw: Schedule 'A' - General Schedule 'B' - Development Services Schedule 'C' - Building Services Schedule 'D' - Public Safety (RCMP and Fire Rescue Services) Schedule 'E' - Parks, Recreation and Culture Services Schedule 'F' - Solid Waste and Recycling Schedule 'G' - Water Schedule 'H' - Sewer

3.

Fees and Charges in this Bylaw are subject to provincial and federal tax, as follows: a.

applicable taxes will be added to each good or service as outlined in Schedules A, B, and C attached hereto, unless exempt from provincial and/or federal tax. b. applicable taxes are included in each good or service as outlined in Schedules D, E, F, G, and H attached hereto, unless exempt from provincial and/or federal tax. 4.

Wherever this Bylaw sets out fees and charges with respect to other City Bylaws and such other Bylaws contain similar fees and charges, this Bylaw is deemed to prevail.

5.

If any section, subsection or clause of this Bylaw is for any reason held to be invalid by the decision of a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision will not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this Bylaw.

6.

The Director of Finance will have the authority to establish a fee for a good or service that is not included in this Bylaw.

7.

THAT City of Revelstoke Fees and Charges for Various Municipal Services and Goods Bylaw No. 1706 and all amendments thereto be repealed in its entirety.

This includes classes for award purposes. All staff using the fitness centre pays unless authorized by a health professional. Community Connections evaluates accessibility of patrons according to the guidelines set out in the agreement. Community Connections notifies staff at the Community Centre after the patron has been approved. Community Centre staff prepares a pass with an expiry date of December 31. Patrons involved in this program will be assessed for eligibility each year.

Students at RSS on the PERC list can produce their PERC card for 4 no charge swims or the Fitness Centre. They are issued three times a year and are nontransferrable amongst students. Wet & Wild 7-12 years - includes a room booking for $33.00 & discount swim rates for kids: $2.75 per child; $5.50 per adult Swim & Pizza 7-12 years - includes 1 hour of swimming then off to a room for pizza. $109.00 plus $5.50 per adult Preschool 3-6 years - includes a maximum of 8 kids under the age of six, one parent, party leader for one hour, and use of room: $60.00 plus $2.75 per extra adult.

Two hours of exclusive pool time including two lifeguards is $265.00 for private groups of 100 people or less. If additional lifeguards are required for any group an additional $24.00 per lifeguard per hour is incurred. Prices for exclusive pool time increases by $24 per hour for extra lifeguard with numbers over 100. Bookings are available any Saturday night of the month from 8-10 pm and any Sunday morning from 10 am - noon CORPORATE PASS PROGRAM / CORPORATE HEALTH AND WELLNESS PROGRAM

 

Blocks of 100 Adult passes for a price of 50 cents less than the set rate. Employers that register their Health and Wellness Program with the Parks, Recreation and Culture Department shall be entitled to a 10% discount on annual pass purchases.
