SEPANG 2018 MOTOGP TICKETS ON SALE NOW! Sepang Circuit Things are just about to get hot again at SIC as Malaysia prepare to host the penultimate round of the 2017 MotoGP World Championship from 27 to 29 October. In an unprecedented strategy, SIC today announced and launched ticket prices for 2018 Malaysia MotoGP before the event takes place. This is a first in 27 years in organising MotoGP since 1991. Ticket prices for 2018 event will see an increase of 10% from 2017 ticket prices. SIC maintained the current ticket prices for the last 3 years. Given the
current economic climate of rising costs, we are not able to maintain the total cost of organising this event and it is inevitable that ticket prices will increase. At the same time, spectators expectations and experiences are higher and for us to improve the organisation of MotoGP, we would need to increase ticket prices. Starting from today (12 October) until race day on 29 October, fans will have the opportunity to purchase Main Grandstand tickets for the SHELL MALAYSIA MOTORCYCLE GRAND PRIX 2018 with the Super Early Bird Promotion.

Motul Grand Prix of Japan The two men at the top of the title fight top the Day One Motegi Free Practice Blink and you'll miss him: Marc Marquez
On the charge: Andrea Dovizioso
i-motoMotoGP news
Impressive Aleix Espargaró, third overall in the rain
The two men at the top of the title fight top the timesheets on Day 1 Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Team) ended Day 1 at the Motul Grand Prix of Japan as the fastest man on track, but the Italian was only 0.043 ahead of his nearest challenger – Championship leader Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team). Marquez was fastest in the morning by some margin before ‘DesmoDovi’ hit back, and the reigning Champion ended his afternoon session prematurely with a crash at Turn 4 – rider ok. Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia Racing Team Gresini) was top Independent Team rider on Day 1, and impressed in both sessions – second in FP1 and third in FP2 to go third overall. He was just ahead of Ducati Team’s Jorge Lorenzo, who was fourth in both the morning and afternoon – despite an incident in which the Majorcan was collected up in a crash for Cal Crutchlow (LCR Honda). Johann Zarco (Monster Yamaha Tech 3) was the top Yamaha on Day 1 and completed the top five, 0.073 seconds clear of fellow Indendenpent Team rider Danilo Petrucci (Octo Pramac Racing) – who was another 0.073 ahead of compatriot Andrea Iannone (Team Suzuki Ecstar). Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda Team) managed to find something in the afternoon session to move up to P8, having struggled in FP1 with the combination of wet weather and relatively low temperature. He headed Crutchlow, with rookie Alex Rins (Team Suzuki Ecstar) completing the top ten as both Hamamatsu factory machines were amongst the potential Q2 graduates. Suzuki also had a new aero-fairing out on track.
As Pedrosa moved up the combined timesheets, it was a tougher first day for Maverick Viñales (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) as he moved down from FP1 to FP2, ending Friday in eleventh and just over a tenth faster than his teammate Valentino Rossi. 0.018 seconds further back was one of the most impressive performances of the first day as Kohta Nozane (Monster Yamaha Tech 3 – replacing Jonas Folger – took thirteenth, ahead of Scott Redding (Octo Pramac Racing) and Karel Abraham (Pull&Bear Aspar Team). The weather sadly looks unlikely to change too much, but it remains to be seen how the skies look for FP3 as graduation to Q2 is decided, and then the grid for the race on Sunday.

THE
CORNERROCKET A n incredibly fun ride, combined with maximum
dynamism, massive power, outstanding quality and a hot styling that is just the biggest turn-on: the KTM 390 DUKE marks another major step forward, leaving the competition in the dust. Light as a feather, supremely powerful and practical, equipped with radical looks as well as cutting-edge technology: the KTM 390 DUKE makes an exciting as well as an affordable choice for all who value a riding experience defined by agility and raw performance. The latest KTM 390 DUKE of model year 2017 impresses with the hottest KISKA design to date, with a predatory stance and edgy lines rising all the way from the aggressively shaped new LED headlight to the athletic, narrow tail. It comes with a commanding new riding position and most agile chassis geometry yet. It is greener than ever with an outstanding fuel mileage and minimal emissions. And it is equipped with the most comprehensive levels of advanced technology, from the BOSCH ABS as standard to the exciting LED technology and from the TFT display, to the new and sophisticated ride-bywire system to best tame its lively, powerful engine. Optionally available is the KTM MY RIDE connectivity solution.
ROAD|TEST
TFT DISPLAY The MY 2017 KTM 390 DUKE is the first motorcycle of its class to be equipped with a sophisticated, onepiece TFT display in full color as dashboard.
Made of highly resilient glass laminate with a special coating, the dashboard automatically adapts to changes of the environmental light for optimum brightness and visibility at all times. A core element of the new KTM 390 DUKE riding experience and supporting a variety of configurations, it achieves much more than merely supplying the rider with information. On one hand, its ability to display alphanumerics is of course crucial, not the least for the implementation of the cutting edge connectivity solution KTM MY RIDE. On the other, this highly advanced rider interface also makes use of non-written modes of communication to minimize rider fatigue on the cognitive level. For example, by visualizing revs with a blue rev counter design and becomes red on higher revs. The optional KTM MY RIDE uses the new TFT display in connection with the illuminated menu switch on the left, as well as the latest Bluetooth™ connectivity, allowing to seamlessly pair up the onboard electronics with any compatible cell phone. KTM MY RIDE will then mirror information about incoming calls as well as the songs playing on the audio player directly into the TFT display. The menu switch on the handlebar is used to accept calls and change tracks, so the rider may keep his hands safely on the grips at all times.
KTM MY RIDE
In yet another premiere for the capacity segment of the KTM 390 DUKE, KTM is the first manufacturer in this class to offer a wireless connectivity solution for convenient smartphone integration.
THE
CORNERROCKET In the true KTM DUKE spirit, all of these features flow organically together in style to achieve one single, unified goal: outrageous riding fun. For wherever you ride and whatever the conditions – the central idea behind every KTM DUKE model is the same it has always been: a raw, simple and authentic riding experience. Pure and unadulterated performance. Marvelously radical and at times, thrillingly irrational.
This being said though, in MY 2017, one other and very rational thing is also true: it will be hard to find more bike for that money. That goes for the extreme dynamism, where the new KTM 390 DUKE once again defies the envelope with the best power-to-weight ratio of its class, vanquishing multi-cylinder competitors that have more displacement. And it goes all the more for the fascinating technology and stateof-the-art equipment. In a word: the KTM 390 DUKE of 2017 once more pulls way ahead of the pack.
SUSPENSION The updated, open-cartridge front fork delivers a key contribution toward the new KTM 390 DUKE’s superior steering behavior and handling. Developed by KTM in corpora- tion with top-tier European supplier a longterm partner WP Suspension, this high-quality upside-down fork is optimized for maximum performance and extremely low weight. It uses the latest open-cartridge technology, offering impressive advantages over any closed-cartridge suspension regarding ease of maintenance and simplicity due to a reduced number of components, which in turn also means less weight.

iding a bike is an exhilarating experience!
You can imagine the pure bliss you’ll have when you’re riding that bike of yours, with the speed exciting you, the wind in your face, and the traffic it helps you escape. It also happens to be more economical! However, there are two sides to a coin. And, as much fun riding a bike can be, it can also be equally dangerous, and many times, fatal. If you are riding motorbikes, or are thinking of starting soon, you must know that wearing a helmet while riding one is of utmost importance to protect yourself from injuries and fatal crashes. The head trauma is the worst experience to recover from. You might get away with a slight scratch on your body, but things get complicated when the head gets involved. That is why wearing a helmet is mandatory when you’re riding your bike, and when it comes to protecting the most important part of your body, nothing less than the best will do! Technology in helmets has just begun this century with Jarvish Inc of Taiwan who recently launched the SMART INTELIGENT HELMET. So how smart and intelligent is Jarvish?
【WHY JARVISH INTELLIGENT SMART HELMETS?】 We know that this is the question going on in your minds and we will tell you why. With technology dominating each and every aspect of our lives, why should traveling be left out? There is nothing better than having a helmet that, instead of making the wearer feel suffocated, helps him become more aware of his surroundings and take the biking experience to the next level. That is precisely what Smart Helmets will do – revolutionize by adding technology in your biking experience. Jarvish Inc is a revolutionary technology based company that works to bring a more technologically advanced atmosphere in the world of helmets. Imagine you can hear your Waze with Heads Up Display (HUD), communicate with other headset, record your ride and answer call during your ride. In 2014 Jarvish Inc partnered Lazer Helmet during the development of Smart Helmet, Jarvish is fitted in Lazer’s modular helmet Monaco EVO S which has withstood the strictest safety tests. They ran in the lab, vibration-under-high-speed test, waterproof test, environmental test for extremely high and low temperatures, drop test, and destructive explosionproof test. 10c ~ 50c temperature Jarvish also partner Foxxcom and its camera are waterproof which is fitted in the Smart Helmet. The navigation function allows the input of destination address before each trip and voice commands for navigation can be transmitted to the earphones of the intelligent helmet via Bluetooth connection. Helmet shell material: The helmet shell uses a carbon fibre composite material characterized by high stiffness, high strength and light weight. Battery features: Use a solid state lithium ceramic military grade material anti-explosion battery. Under extreme conditions, such as piercing, collision, rupture etc., the battery is maintained to be safe without the occurrence of battery solution leakage, smoke or burning, etc. Ventilation features: The mouth portion and forehead portion are equipped with two-stage adjustable air inlets in conjunction with the design of additional three air outlets in order to ensure air ventilation inside the helmet.
