The Lost Turtle By the team at Cardinal Group

Kate, a sweet black cat, and Arnie, the fuzzy aardvark, are best friends who walk to school together every day, and on their way, they always pass Tobias, the big, green turtle, walking alone.

1

Tobias walks alone because he walks slower and is known for getting stuck on his back. Some of the kids in the town make fun of Tobias every time he gets stuck. Sometimes they even leave him there for hours. One day, Kate and Arnie were playing at the park and heard Rascal, the gray raccoon, and Frankie, the orange Fox, sitting on the bench making fun of Tobias.

2

Kate and Arnie asked where Tobias was and Rascal and Frankie looked at each other and laughed. They said they left him stuck where no one could find him. This did not sit well with Kate and Arnie. Kate and Arnie searched high and low for Tobias but could not find him anywhere. They went to the library to look for him, but Tobias wasn’t there. Then they went to the ice cream shop, but Tobias wasn’t there either. What happened to Tobias?

3

After searching far and wide, Kate and Arnie knew they needed help so they called the whole town together for a meeting. The town was hesitant at first to look for Tobias, but Kate and Arnie convinced the town by reminding them that they should do the right thing, always, and to help their neighbors and each other.

The whole town searched and finally found Tobias by the blue river turned on his back.

Tobias was a heavy turtle so it took teamwork to flip him back over but since everyone was a team player, Tobias was back on his feet in no time!

5

They threw a party to celebrate and from that point on the whole town did the right thing, including helping people when they needed it the most. The next day on their walk to school Kate and Arnie met up with Tobias so they could all walk to school together. Along the way, they were suddenly stopped by Rascal and Frankie.

6

With tears welling up in their eyes they said "We are really sorry that we left you by the river stuck on your back Tobias," said Rascal. Frankie added, "You are just as much a part of this town as we are and everyone is an important member of our community."

7

Tobias paused, he then nodded and said, "I accept your apology and hope that from now on we can all enjoy our walks to school. Together." With big smiles from everyone, the group continued on their way to school as a group.
