This modern day priestess with a focus on her Celtic, Balkan, Iberian and Greek lineage, is committed to contributing to a world where qualities of intuition, presence, social justice and service are honoured.

The Editor in Chief of COACH Magazine, a published author and in demand speaker, Julie is the recipient of numerous leadership and women’s business awards and is also the CoFounder of Priestess Temple School and host of the top ranking Priestess Podcast.

Soulful Business couldn’t wait to sit down with Julie to find out how she manages such a full plate and how she maintains balance.

“Hand on my heart; I don’t balance things well all of the time. When you are a business woman with so many things on your plate, there will be times when things are off balanced, and that’s ok. Our pursuit of keeping things in

balance all of the time can sometimes contribute to the pressure, which throws us off balance,” Julie says.

She is beautifully supported by a team, which enables her to hold space and do the work she does, she also contributes her ability to keep it all together with tapping into her exceptional “left-brain” skills.

“This may not sound very sexy, but I am deeply planned and organised. I love flow, creativity, intuition, imagination - all of those things, but the unsexy thing is, if I wasn’t as planned and organised in my business, I wouldn’t achieve what I do.”

When we have are focused on achieving a goal, it’s so important understand your “why” (or your purpose). It will serve as a point of reference for all your actions and decisions and allow you to measure your progress and know when you have met your goals. We wanted to find out what drives Julie.

“I feel as though my life and my business is a combo of ancient wisdom and lineage that comes through from the women in my family, through many generations, who have always had a

The wisdom, which Julie carries, comes through her DNA, but in, a modern form. Her grandmother wasn’t a coach, but was known as a medicine woman, which has been passed through to Julie to become the teacher she is today.

“I feel very proud to carry this. I have inherited the deepest passion for human potential from all of my ancestors. My why, is actually other peoples why and how they bring that to life.”

Her desire to guide others on a massive scale, requires clever balancing of the two halves of the brain.

“I work very much from my right side of the brain, tapping into love, care, and sympathy. I work chiefly with women and the divine feminine, but in saying that, I also think that left side of the brain is needed for balance.

“I am very feminine driven, but to be sustainable and successful, I must be able to use my masculine brain; ordered, logical, structured etc. Finding that balance is so important.”

Julie knows all too well that setting yourself up with a rigid routine to help balance things out, such as, ‘I must exercise at certain time, I must take a bath 3 times a week, I must meditate every morning,’ can actually hold you back from balance. Life doesn’t always go to plan and going with the flow is sometimes the thing that brings balance.

“Sometimes balance looks like a five minute cup of tea. And, if that’s all you get that day, maybe the following day you can aim for a walk or a lie down. We do our best. And understanding whatever balance happens to be for us, on that particular day, is so important.”

Another aspect of creating a thriving soulful business is to understand the role that failure plays in your success. Julie says that failure can emerge our biggest wins, bring growth and, most importantly, build resilience.

“We are not broken. We are all whole, but we are also all healing at the same time. Our wounds from childhood, our ego, our fears, anxieties and yes, overwhelm can sometimes cause us to misstep or fail at something. These things will happen. This is life, it’s normal and it’s part of the business life,” says Julie.

“Heart driven business owners need resiliency. If you’re not tested and you’re not putting yourself out there in a way where things are not working or need tweaking, then you’re not putting yourself out there enough.

“If everything is always vanilla, you are only extending yourself so far. That’s fine in the beginning to help you gain your confidence, but eventually, you are going to have to put yourself out there more.”

Beautiful You Coaching Academy academy leads people into their coaching destiny. This is Julie’s core business with over 1400 coaches, all over the world, and although this is her passion, she explores a more spiritual journey with The Priestess Temple School and Priestess Podcast.

“These have come from my own awakening. I was drawn to have conversations with people, mostly women, and I wanted to put it out there for everyone to learn from on a podcast. Although I’ve only been talking about being a priestess of my life for 4 or 5 years, I really have been one all my life - we just didn’t have the language. For such a long time, it wasn’t safe for women to talk about their spirituality in that way. It’s a reclaiming.” something we all need to work on and understand that everyone’s paths are different and what is right for them is right for them, just as what is right for us is right for us.”

When people feel that spiritual calling to help others, her programs nurture and support them toward their pathway. This varies from person to person; depending on their qualifications, experience and skills, of course, but Julie has learned what it takes to coach others.

“No matter where someone starts from, the first thing you need to do to open up your pathway to being a coach is that you have to commit wholeheartedly to doing everything you possibly can to becoming the very best coach you can be. You must commit to the art, skill and craft of coaching. If you don’t know what that is, you have to find the right books, coaches and course to make that happen,” she says.

“You can have the fanciest website, the most wonderful network, hot social media, but if you are not good at what you do, it’s all for nothing. The very best coaches in my experience build their practice through word of mouth. The next client always knows a current client.”

A priestess is a sacred leader that opens and holds space for others to explore their divinity. Julie realizes that connection with spirit through the divine is going to be different for everyone.

“There’s no right or wrong. This is one of the great paths of spirit. Tolerance is

“You must ask yourself, how do I become the very best at this, I possibly can be? The rest will fall into place.”

“A coaches job is to ask powerful searing questions that helps them to understand that they are sovereign, that they are their own best friend. It is about self actualisation.”
