before I came to First Texas Homes. I always wanted to work at First Texas Homes, especially after I bought one of their homes and I experienced first-hand the care they provide to homeowners.
What is the best part of being a new home sales consultant? It never gets old playing an active role in
helping people achieve ‘The American Dream’ of home ownership. Handing over keys to an excited new homeowner is such a memorable moment. One of my buyers closed and received their keys. Shortly thereafter, I happened to drive by their home on the way to another home showing. As I drove by, I could hear them inside screaming in excitement! That is what this business is all about, making dreams of owning a new home their reality.
A home trend you like: I am glad to see today’s grays and lighter tones as opposed to darker tones. Thousands of people are moving to Texas every month. Where are many of your buyers from?
Lots of people from California are new Texans. They seem to enjoy the hospitality and laid-back nature here.
Speaking of Texas, are you a native? Yes, I grew up out in East Texas, where I enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on my grandfather’s ranch.
A memorable day in new home sales... One day, it was hailing hard in Melissa, so I drove to park my car
in one of the empty spec homes. While looking back at the hail, I put my hand on the garage door. Out of the corner of my eye I noticed black spots on the garage. Upon closer inspection, and after jumping away, I could see that the entire garage door was COVERED in Black Widow Spiders! That’ll get the ole’ heart pumping! I was really freaked out! I guess the spiders were also escaping the rain!

A memorable day in new home sales... I admit it. I’m a shoe-a-holic. Being only 4’11” tall, the higher the
heels, the better! I’m so skilled at showing homes in heels that I can climb thru construction sites, dodging debris without hesitation. That is, until one day, I was showing a new home with no driveway. It was prepped for it, and it looked as if it was dry, but it defininetely was not. It was confirmed when one of my shoes was stuck and I could not get it out! Muddy and barefoot later, I showed the home — and made the sale!
