Estimado Huésped,
Costa Rica es un país libre de tabaco debido a la Ley 9028: Ley General de Control del Tabaco y sus Efectos Nocivos en la Salud.
La misma se creo con el fin de reducir al mínimo la exposición de las personas a los efectos nocivos del humo y reducir el daño sanitario, social y ambiental originado por el tabaquismo.
La ley establece que los centros comerciales son áreas 100% libre de tabaco, siendo el Hotel Real InterContinental parte de estos centros. El incumplimiento de esta ley, resulta en severas multas para los infractores.
Nuestro hotel NO ESTA EXCEPTO a esta ley y en caso de que uno de nuestros huéspedes fume en la habitación, nos veremos en la obligación de imponer una multa de $250
Comprendemos las necesidades de nuestros huéspedes y por esta razón hemos establecido una zona de fumado cerca de la entrada principal a nuestro hotel. Lamentamos si esto le genera alguna inconformidad en su estadía.

Costa Rica is a tobacco-free country due to Law 9028: General Law on Tobacco Control and its Harmful Effects on Health.
It was created in order to minimize the exposure of people to the harmful effects of smoke and reduce health damage, social and environmental origin caused by smoking.
The law establishes that shopping centers are 100% tobacco-free areas, with the Hotel Real InterContinental being part of these centers. Failure to comply with this law results in severe fines for violators.
Our hotel IS NOT EXCEPT to this law and in case one of our guests smokes in the room, we’ll see you in the obligation to impose a fine of $ 250
We understand the needs of our guests and for this reason we have established a smoking area near the main entrance to our hotel. We are sorry if this generates any disagreement in your stay.
