Garfield Golden Grads Founded in 1987, Garfield Golden Grads connects graduates of 50 plus years in an organization that helps support our school’s future by providing grants and doing other charitable work. At the luncheon on Saturday, volunteers from Key Club and Garfield ASB helped out with a variety of tasks, such as setup and delivering lunches to attendees.

Attending the luncheon allowed many volunteers to gain a greater understanding of Garfield’s history. Many of the older volunteers and luncheon attendees shared numerous stories about their high school career and the GHS environment decades ago. At the memorabilia table, past issues of the Messenger, Pen, and Arrow were on display for perusing through. Though their history with Garfield has been quite long, the volunteers were able to be a part of it.

MESSAGE FROM THE EDITOR Dear Key Clubbers, School’s finally out—but Key Club isn’t! Hopefully, we will make your summer jam-packed with fun events, fundraisers, and socials. Your very own Garfield Key Club is hosting this month’s DCM—show up on time because there will be food and ice cream! Division 28 has also challenged us and several other divisions to a game of capture the flag, and I encourage you to go. Like always, be sure to stay up-to-date with what’s going on by reading the bulletin, emails, and regularly checking the club and divisional Facebook pages. For those of you in the DCON group, events from other divisions are sometimes posted there. If you’re bored, why not check out one of their events or fundraisers?

Sharing is caring! Join, like, share, and tweet!
