If you didn’t come to the June DCM at Jefferson Park, you missed out on a lot of fun. Garfield hosted this DCM, and members from Franklin, Cleveland, West Seattle, and other schools were in attendance as well. This DCM was a potluck, and Garfield brought along a few gallons of Neapolitan ice cream as well. The meeting began with a few fun icebreakers, followed by some divisional updates and then a watermelon eating contest. The rest of the DCM was free time. People brought their volleyballs, badminton racquets, skateboards, water guns, and younger siblings. If you’re in town in July or August, there will definitely be more awesome DCMs and other socials happening! Sadly, we did not get to soak Philip because not enough money was raised during Miracle Minute, but the more people who come; the more likely it is to happen...
MESSAGE FROM THE EDITOR Dear Key Clubbers, It was great hanging out with you all at the June DCM! There will definitely be more opportunities to do so over the course of this summer, so I suggest taking a break from work or whatever you may be doing and spending some time with your Key Club family. Philip has also provided us with details about Seattle Rally, which is a spirited gathering of Key Clubbers from several divisions in the area—think of it as a smaller version of DCON. Seattle Rally will be held at Hazen High School in Renton on August 12th from 9am-4pm. If you had a blast at DCON, you’ll definitely have fun at Seattle Rally representing Division 26 and Garfield High School! Interested? Stay tuned for more updates from our LtG on the divisional Facebook group.
