PNW DCON 2013 DIVING INTO SERVICE

Presented with the Convention Attendance Award

This past weekend, Key Clubbers from across the Pacific Northwest District gathered at the DoubleTree Hotel in SeaTac for the 64th Annual District Convention. The lobby of the hotel was swarming with the craziest spirit gear— sunglasses, bubble wands, animal masks, and signs, as Division 26 and many other attendees showed their Key Club spirit. Key Clubbers became inspired by speaker Brett Eastburn and other clubs’ service projects during the Service Fair. Garfield High School Key Clubbers enjoyed meeting and making friends from other schools and divisions, “especially the Canadians”, as one attendee put it.

Garfield HS Key Club also received recognition for distinguished secretary and editor, and for convention attendance at the ending ceremony. After a long weekend filled with events and experiences, many a Key Clubber left with many new friends, a renewed sense of spirit and service, and memories of an unforgettable weekend.

1,600 Key Clubbers from all over the PNW district in one room!

Dear Garfield High School Key Club, I am excited to be the incoming bulletin editor for the 2013-2014 Key Club year! Thank you to the outgoing officers, immediate past Ltg. Jessica Lee, convention chair Andy Nguyen and the members of this club for your unwavering dedication and service to Key Club and the community. I have learned so many important lessons from you all and I promise that I will maintain the success of this bulletin. As the year progresses, I hope to see you at many events and DCMs, and in the bulletin as well! My current goal is to increase readership of the bulletin and member involvement in the creation process. I am open to any suggestions, so please feel free to contact me. It will be a pleasure to serve you as the bulletin editor, and I look forward to this year! -Reanne Wong
