Garfield HS KEY CLUB The Official Newsletter of James A. Garfield High School Key Club, Division 26

October 2 nd, 2013

Division 26 Key Club Key Club International is split into various districts (we happen to be in the Pacific Northwest district), which is further broken down into smaller groups called divisions. Each of these divisions is based roughly on population, and encompasses multiple high schools. Our division, Division 26, is led by Philip, our Lieutenant Governor (LtG). Our colors are royal blue and white, and the unicorn is our mascot. If you have friends who attend high school in the Seattle area, encourage them to join Key Club and you may get a chance to see them at divisional events! MESSAGE FROM THE EDITOR Dear Key Clubbers, It’s almost an entire month into the new school year, so things here at Garfield Key Club are getting warmed up! We’ve found several new events, including the Northwest Tea Festival, UW Dawg Dash Walk/Run, and favorites such as the Bunka no Hi event and the LiHi auction. For auctions, please remember to wear auction attire! Unless otherwise specified, this includes a dress shirt (not see-through, please), nice dress shoes, and slacks or a skirt. Key Clubbers are supposed to be classy! Please remember to pay your membership dues soon, because the cost will increase by $2 within the next week or two. To clarify, you cannot obtain your volunteer hours until you pay the membership dues and register your information with our secretary, Angel Yu. The earlier we get our money in, the better opportunities we may get at the district level! Thanks for attending this meeting and/or reading this bulletin!
