SERVICE

1 General Info 2 Requirements Registration 3 Questions? 4 Past DCONs

Each year, the Pacific Northwest District gets together to celebrate the year of service, elect the new executive district board, meet other Key Clubbers in the area, attend workshops, and learn about new service opportunities at District Convention (DCON). This is an amazing opportunity to become more involved with Key Club, and is one of the most FUN events of the Key Club year. PNW DCON is approaching its 65th anniversary, and you don’t want to miss out on the unforgettable memories. Hope to see you there!

Turn in everything to an officer or at the meeting! The absolute, final deadline is January 30th (Thursday)

F AQ S I can’t find my membership card, what’s my number? Talk to an officer and we’ll take care of it for you!

Do I need health insurance to attend? Probably not. Members have attended without health insurance in the past.

How do I convince my parent/guardian to let me go? Parents/guardians—DCON is a fully adult-chaperoned event in a safe location. Your child is mature enough to handle the amount of independence they are receiving. The experience is valuable and well worth it!

Can freshmen attend? Freshmen should definitely go! The requirement is only 30 hours for you guys and new members, so if you’re short on free time, this is the year to go.

Who should I put under the “chaperone” section? Don’t worry; we’ll take care of that part for you.

Can I room with people from other schools or divisions? No, unfortunately. In the event there is an odd number for rooming, you may be assigned with roommates from other schools within Division 26.

Will transportation be provided to/from DCON? Carpools will be organized, or you could take the bus.
