MESSAGE FROM THE EDITOR Dear Key Clubbers, Welcome to the October Newsletter! I hope all of you, both new and old members, are enjoying Key Club so far. Have you enjoyed volunteering at the events and attending meetings? Have you made new friends? Let us know how we’re doing! In addition to regular volunteer events, Division 26 is having its October Division Council Meeting on the 26th (get it?). DCMs are super fun and I hope you’ll attend! So far, we’ve told you guys a few things regarding DCON 2014. I know the volunteer hours requirements (30+ for new members, 60+ for returning members) may be a little confusing, so if you have any questions, it’s better to ask earlier than when it’s too late! Today’s meeting is also the LAST DAY to pay dues for $15; after today the fee will be raised to $17. Please remember to bring your cash to Emily and register your information with Angel, even if you are a returning member. Don’t forget to pick up your orange UNICEF box before you leave!

-Reanne Wong

As a preferred charity, Kiwanis and Key Club International supports the efforts of UNICEF’s yearly Trick-or-Treat fundraiser. Donations collected from boxes will go towards Kiwanis International’s Eliminate Project to eliminate maternal/neonatal tetanus. One dose of vaccine to protect a mother and all her future babies costs only US $1.80, so everything, even a little spare change, helps!

Here’s how you can help: 1.) Pick up an orange box during the meeting or from an officer 2.) Ask for spare change and donations when you trick-or-treat 3.) Turn in your box (with your name on it) as soon as possible!
