State legislators opened the 2022 legislative session last week with hopes of returning the state back to normal — as much as possible — following two years of grappling with the pandemic. COVID-19 cases in Berlin continue to move in the right direction.
State Rep. Donna Veach (RBerlin, Southington) said one of her top priorities this legislative session is improving public safety.
The state’s latest COVID report, which includes two weeks of data, showed 120 positive cases in town, a substantial drop from last month when the community recorded 510 cases during one two-week span, and 340 in another.
"For almost a year, my Republican colleagues and I have done everything within our legislative powers to sit down at the table with our counterparts and try and address this issue," Veach said. "Unfortunately, our requests have largely gone ignored

Winter walk in the woods Citizen report
