After a year without the Berlin Fair, the Berlin Lions Club is excited the event will be returning for its 72nd year in September. The fair, canceled last year because of the pandemic, includes agriculture, entertainment, vendors and food booths manned by local charities. Each year, two seniors from each member high school are selected as Connecticut Association of Schools – Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference Scholar-Athletes. Berlin High School is proud to announce that Jacob Lindsay and Jenna Zup are this year’s selections. Both are exemplary students and athletes who maintain a healthy, productive balance between academics and extracurricular activities. Selection criteria for Connecticut Association of Schools – Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference Scholar-Athletes include exemplary academic and athletic careers; personal standards and achievements that are a model to others; and high levels of integrity, selfdiscipline, and courage. The Connecticut Association of Schools – Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference is the governing body for secondary school athletics and other interscholastic competition in the state of Connecticut.
