Residents’ input wanted on plan to modernize school buildings
A LITTLE TIME OUT
Record-Journal staff
The School Modernization Committee is looking for residents' input as it prepares to make final recommendations to the town on how best to update district buildings and provide for a projected increase in enrollment.
After the major snowstorm that kicked off the month of February left the area, Sue Porter, of Prospect, came out to enjoy a sunny day at Mixville Recreation Area. She was accompanied by her two therapy dogs Phoenix and Luna. Prior to the pandemic, the dogs were frequent visitors to area schools and rehabilitation centers. See more snow photos inside, page A11.
This month the committee will launch a phone survey and also solicit information through an online survey. The committee's announcement explains the survey this way: The town “invites you to participate in this survey about the modernization of Cheshire Public Schools including new construction or renovation of buildings, adding modern technology, and updating learning spaces. Your input, whether you have children in the public schools or not, will help guide decisions over the years ahead.” Responses are strictly confidential. See Schools, A6
