Subdivision plan still raises concern Record Journal staff

Several local artists signed up for recent Artsplace classes with a sunflower theme. The first class quickly booked up, which resulted in a second class being added. Artsplace Director Joan Pilarczyk said the sunflower theme was specifically chosen in a nod to Cheshire's Summer of Sunflowers, the "community growing project" created by the Coalition for a Sustainable Cheshire, Cheshire Pollinator Pathway
Historical society needs volunteers The Cheshire Historical Society is looking for volunteers and that recruitment effort is fitting into the organization’s new strategic plan.

“This is an exciting time to be involved with our organization as we are implementing new programming and other ideas derived from our revamped strategic plan,” said CHS Director and Public Relations Coordinator Jaime McCormick.
A plan was developed last summer after the CHS board met with museum consultant, Kathy Craughwell-Varda. “The plan would support the CHS mission of keeping Cheshire’s unique and continuing history alive by creating connections that engage the community through new and existing collections, exhibitions, and programs,” McCormick said, adding, “Some of the goals that we are working toward include inspiring
