Eco-friendly coffee shop opens
Clean Energy Task Force seeks members

With the “light at the end of the tunnel” in view regarding the pandemic, we all can begin to focus on the greatest threat to our children, grandchildren, and future generations – the growing threat of climate change. How can we as local residents make an impact reducing this threat – and at the same time save money and create jobs and businesses through a clean energy economy?
NORTH HAVEN — A recent college graduate has opened an eco-friendly coffee shop, combining her passions for business and the environment. North Haven resident Montana Telman, 23, worked in several fields before opening crossroads., 1878 Hartford Turnpike, on April 1. She worked in coffee shops during college and after being out of work because of the pandemic she decided to try her own business. “There’s nothing in this area like this,” Telman said. “If you live over here and you want coffee you have to go down to Washington Avenue...”

Paul D’Amico, a North Haven resident, found out about the new shop on Facebook. “It’s nice to have something different,” he said. “North Haven has a lot, but it needed a small coffee shop in this area.”
North Haven’s new coffee shop is located at 1878 Hartford Turnpike.

National Drug Take Back Day is April 24 The DEA National Drug Take Back Day is Saturday, April 24.
One way is to become a member of the North Haven Clean Energy Task Force. As a town-sponsored task force, we work closely with town officials to promote and provide opportunities for energy conservation and clean energy. We have had many successes, including:

Unused and expired medications should be mixed with an unpalatable substance such as dirt, cat litter or used coffee grounds.
