Deputy Chief Stanley F. Lofquist retired from the North Haven Police Department on June 24 after 40 years of service. Throughout his career, Lofquist was a member of the NHPD SWAT Team, Traffic Division, Professional Standards Division, Investigative Services Division and Uniformed Services Division. During his time on the force, Lofquist also held the rank of Sergeant, Lieutenant and Captain, and his police work was recognized with Letters of Recognition, Certificates of Meritorious Service and Unit Citations. “Over the past 40 years he has worked alongside, mentored and supervised dozens of police officers. His history of the department, institutional knowledge, and particular sense of humor, will be difficult to replace,” the department stated in a social media post. “We wish him a long, happy and healthy retirement.” NHPD, Facebook
