Husband and wife take gym to the next level By Nicole Zappone The Citizen
Husband and wife Brad and Jenna March have taken their gym Iron Bond Fitness to the next level. Over the summer, the couple moved the business from Hamden to a bigger – more aesthetically pleasing – location on Dodge Avenue in North Haven. “It’s more centralized for our clients, who come from all over. And we believe North Haven is an awesome community, and the location is perfect for us," said Jenna March. “This place is twice the size of our old space in Hamden." Iron Bond Fitness, located at 27 Dodge Ave., will host an See Gym, A2 open house Saturday, Nov. 5 from 8 to 10 a.m.

Nighthawks’ D owns the day in Ramland Record-Journal staff
CHESHIRE — Old rivalries don’t die. They resurface in old-fashioned backyard tussles such as these. North Haven used a long first-half drive, a fourthquarter field goal and stout defense throughout to defeat former Thanksgiving rival Cheshire 10-0 on Friday night, Oct. 28 in a SCC Tier 1 game at Alumni Field. Last week, Girl Scouts from throughout North Haven got together for a rededication ceremony and to celebrate Girl Scout founder Juliette Gordon Low's birthday. At rededication ceremonies, youngsters recommit themselves to the Girl Scout Law and Promise. The local gathering took place at North Haven Middle School on Wednesday, Oct. 26. It was a game with divisional and playoff ramifications. North Haven came away at 6-1 and Cheshire at 5-2.
The Rams get the first break of the night, recovering a fumbled punt recovered just over midfield in the opening quarter. North Haven’s defense held, however, and forced another Rams’ punt. And that’s where the game took a crucial turn. Taking over at their own 15, the Nighthawks engineered an 11-play scoring drive, going up 7-0 with 2:40 left in the opening quarter when Camren Thompson got free from 30 yards out.
