Police promote domestic violence awareness

20TH ANNUAL MEMORIAL WALK

According to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, on average, nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner in the United States. During one year, this equates to more than 10 million women and men.

The 20th Annual Helen & Danny Coughlin Memorial Walk — led by ESPN’s Jay Harris — took place Saturday, Oct. 9 at Norton Park. The walk is the largest fundraiser for PARC, Inc., which offers family-centered services for people with developmental disabilities. Danny Coughlin was an original PARC member from when the non-profit was founded more than 60 years ago. His mother, Helen Coughlin, started the group with other Plainville parents. PARC.
