The Plainville Historical Society invites people of all ages to visit the Historic Center at 29 Pierce St. during the town's Friday, Dec. 13 tree lighting and Holiday Stroll. Hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. Hostess "Auntie Claus" and the Plainville Lions Club will serve cookies and hot chocolate. Museum rooms, including the Victorian Parlor and Children's Room, will be open and decorated for the holidays. The Museum Store will be open and features great ideas for gifts and stocking stuffers along with a sale of 50 percent off selected items. This year's prize for a free-toenter drawing will be a decorated tabletop tree. Elevator access is available to the second floor of the Historic Center.
