Plenty of fireworks options to pick from
SUMMER CONCERT SERIES
Middletown's annual fireworks festival has been delayed until September, but there are several local options for celebrating Independence Day the traditional way.
July 2 Meriden – Fireworks are returning to Castle Craig. When the sun sets, families and friends can gather at Hubbard Park to view the show. Pride event well-attended
Durham’s Recreation Department and the local Lions Club have partnered for the 2021 Summer Concert Series. This 30-year-old tradition comes after the cancellation of the free, outdoor series last summer due to the pandemic.

“It’s a wonderful community event, and there are different types of music each week, so hopefully it will be able to appeal to different genres and ages,” said Luke Backus of the Durham Lions Club. The concert series is held at Allyn Brook Park, located off Picket Lane.
