Kite Festival Come join members of the Ben Franklin Kite Society for the Annual Kite Festival. This “fun-fly� event, hosted by the Society and Recreation Department, encourages parents and grandparents to show their kids how they made and flew kites in the early days! Be a Junior Designer! 8 – 12 years old Min. 4 / Max. 10 Ever dreamed of being an interior designer? In this five-day hands-on class you will have a chance to design an interior room for your pretend client. You'll create bubble diagrams, do testing on different flooring options, learn about the color wheel, make furniture selections, render and create a materials board, as well as learn to present and sell your design. Materials list will be printed on your receipt, please bring them to first class. Instructor: Gregg Dillingham Min. 4 / Max. 40 Quads are four-man round robin chess tournaments, with the sections organized by strength/ability. Each participant plays every other person in his/her quad, and thus three opponents. Each round of play is an hour or less. Score sheets, pencils and some clocks are available. Games are NWSRS rated. Time controls are G30. Bring your own clock if you require one. Boards and pieces are provided. Parents accompany children 12 and under.
