I chose to draw a lion as it represents pride, courage, bravery and being true to who you are just like the LGBTQIA+ community’s values.

The Pride Society hosted an Art Competition for "Pride Month" during June. The prompt for this competition was "What does Pride mean to you?", with students from Year 7-12 encouraged to enter artworks of any medium, alongside a short blurb to explain how their artwork matched the prompt. We hope everyone has a Happy Pride Month, and feels proud of who they are. We are free to be ourselves, and respect each other equally, as is the Reddam way!

This term Year 7 Drama students presented their rehearsed improvised scenes for their Term Assessment. All students engaged with improvisation techniques, learned to create characters, devise situations and problems for these characters to solve.

Groups presented entertaining performances demonstrating their collaboration skills and showcasing their growing confidence on stage.

Great work Year 7 !
