escribed by the New York Post as “fascinating, rewarding and above all, entertaining,” and by the Los Angeles Times as “a showpiece extravaganza”, “Lord of the Dance” is a mesmerizing blend of traditional and modern Celtic music and dance. The story is based upon mythical Irish folklore as Don Dorcha, Lord of Darkness, challenges the ethereal lord of light, the Lord of the Dance. Battle lines are drawn, passions ignite and a love story fueled by the dramatic leaps and turns of dancers’ bodies begins to build against a backdrop of Celtic rhythm. The action is played out over 21 scenes on a grand scale of precision dancing, dramatic music, colorful costumes and state-of-the-art staging and lighting.

I chose to go to The University of Toledo to study pharmacy because of the program’s amazing reputation. Since high school, I knew I wanted to go into the medical field and have a positive, direct impact on patients. Turns out, UT not only gave me a great education, but also my first job. I’m now working at UT Medical Center as a pharmacist to monitor antibiotic use.

ock and Roll Hall of Famer and six-time Grammy Award-winner Buddy Guy is also known as Chicago’s blues king, ruling his domain just as his idol and mentor Muddy Waters did before him. His high-energy guitar histrionics and boundless on-stage energy have always been Guy trademarks, along with a tortured vocal style that’s nearly as distinctive as his incendiary rapid-fire fretwork. Grammy Award-winner Jonny Lang is hailed as a Blues prodigy with the screaming Telecaster, becoming a professional musician at the age of 12. Notable for both his strong and passionate vocals and his guitar prowless, Lang has been on the road since his now platinum debut Lie to Me, touring with industry giants like BB King, The Rolling Stones, Sting and Aerosmith. Most recently, Lang was featured on the 2012 season of American Idol as mentor to winner Phillip Phillips.

MAYBE QUESTIONING THE NORM SHOULD BE THE NEW NORM. Every time a bar gets raised, a record gets broken, or a new star shines, it’s because somebody was curious. Wondering how high they could reach. How much they could do. As a proud supporter of the Fox Theater Series, we applaud that. Questioning everything makes anything possible.
