reflection architecture|yeartwostruggles

i won’t lie. i was terrified about entering my second year of architecture school. the shift from abstraction to reality was going to be tough, and this quarter was definitely not easy. our first project, drawdel, wasn’t too bad, it was a good mix of first year and second year. it was municipal docking station that was the difficult project. i loved the fact that this year we were actually out on real sites and analyzing them, but when it came to the project itself, it was definitely left me confused. looking back on it, i could have definitely done a lot better, but i’m still getting used to second year. i still have a lot to learn. i think the most difficult thing about this quarter was balancing my time. between studio, my new graphic design job, and being on staff for the pilipino cultural exchange, it was defintiely hard to balance studying for school, graphic designing, and studio life. another thing to work on as i transition into winter quarter. although this was a relatively difficult quarter, it was also a fun one. i loved my studio and i loved my professor. Pro, thank you for all the guidance you gave me this quarter. my exit interview with you is something i definitely needed. studio Pro, you guys were hilarious and i’m going to miss you guys. just know that the Proman Empire will live on forever. now I’m going to enjoy this three week break and prepare myself for my winter quarter in studio Clare. peace out, fall quarter. it’s been a good one. cheers to the new year.

“don’t be afraid to be bold” - every professor this quarter
