he last thing that I expected to be raving about after my trip to Anguilla were the Brussels sprouts. It must take a pretty special brussel sprout to outshine the beaches with sand as white and fine as sugar and the waters so magnificent and electric blue that you almost forget to breathe.
Anguilla is a tiny island about a 20 minute ferry ride north of St. Martin. Although it is only about 16 kilometers long and 3 kilometers wide, its landscape is packed with the stunning beauty you’d expect from the Caribbean. Its scenery is a mosaic of colors constantly transforming as the sun sweeps
across the sky, shifting the shades of blue, green and white into an ever evolving crescendo of beauty. What sets Anguilla apart from the rest of the Caribbean is its ambition to be a mecca for those of us who plan our vacations around where to eat. Leading the charge of Anguilla’s food culture revolution is CuisinArt Golf Resort and Spa, nestled into the sparkling waters of Rendezvous Bay on the south side of the island. This luxurious five star resort not only boasts pristine beaches framed on one side by the stunning cycles of the sky and luscious landscape on the others, but is also home to five world class restaurants helmed by Executive Chef Jasper Schneider. the stylish life magazine |
11
travel What Chef Schneider has achieved at the CuisinArt is nothing short of gastronomical bliss. According to Schneider, his vision for the resort was to be able to offer his guests something completely different for each night of their stay. Using ingredients grown from the 18,000 square foot hydroponic green house on the resort property, Chef Schneider and his team are able to use the freshest ingredients possible to prepare their culinary delights. They use these ingredients to prepare truly inspired and unique dishes such as the utterly decadent foie gras stuffed “DuckDuck-Goose Gyoza at the Tokyo Bay restaurant and the more traditional but just as inspired bolognaise sauce at Restaurant Italia. Chef Schneider and his team take the time to make sure that each and every ingredient shines.
12
| the stylish life magazine
This is how the seductiveness of the caviar, truffles and foie gras that can be found infused throughout his beautiful creations, which showcase the freshest fish and the most decadent lamb, cannot take attention away from even the humblest of ingredients, the Brussels sprout. Served at Tokyo Bay, which is situated above the Venus Spa, and prepared to crispy, salty perfection using puffed rice and dried sisho, these tiny green vegetables are a house favourite. For those of us that don’t plan our holidays around where to eat, there are plenty of other attractions at CuisinArt. For those who prefer to golf, there is the 18 hole Greg Norman Signature course situated just a few hundred yards from the front lobby of the main resort. Not only is the course challenging and immaculately maintained, but the elevated views from the course are some of the most breathtaking on the island.

lifestyle custom piece of jewellery is every woman’s dream. Something unique and different to call your own. Prila, an exquisite fine jewellery brand helps to create long-lasting, sparkling memories.
One fateful day, two women with an undeniable love for fashion and jewellery crossed paths at a boutique and hit it off instantly. Priya, an accomplished entrepreneur with a passion for luxury, custom designed her own jewellery. She soon built up a network of people asking her to design unique pieces. Laurie, a born artist and former abstract painter, had a love for colour, shape and design. Together, they decided to turn their passions into a business and collaboratively created the brand Prila. The founders of Prila are in the studio almost daily, designing and working with a variation of stones. Laurie and Priya are always taking on new projects and working on different creations and sketches. “The studio is our playing ground. We put everything on the table and use our imaginations. Expression of our unique individual style is key,” says Laurie. Diamonds and gemstones, gold, and platinum, Prila uses a variety of fine materials to create their one of-a-kind, custom pieces. When a particular size of stone is requested, Prila will source the stone, or their gemologists will hand cut a raw one. The prices for these custom pieces begin at around $1,500 and then, the sky is the limit. If you’re interested in ordering a custom creation or even designing your own piece, it is easy with Prila. “It all starts with an email, phone call, an in person meeting or Skype. We are able to customize at the convenience of our clients,” says Priya. The concept of Prila is all about customization. “We thrive on working one on one with clients and creating a design which compliments their individual tastes,” says Laurie. The design process starts with sketches, eventually turning into a final drawing. Once the drawings are approved, the women start the process of creating the final piece. “If necessary, we do have the capability to show the design using a computer generated image before we move to the final product, but process is not always needed,” says Priya. The women also provide a signed, final drawing done by hand as a keepsake for special occasion pieces. What’s new and upcoming for this dynamic duo is an exclusive collection for a soon to be revealed luxury store. “This collection will truly reflect our unique personalities,” says Priya.

There are a few things you need to do this week in
yet you are afraid to reveal what’s underneath
order to get you started with your new fitness goals:
your oversized winter coat. You’re hurrying for solutions while you and your friends are planning trips to the nearest beaches and patios in town. However, to your demise you realize the last time you stepped foot in a gym was last summer. What do you do now? You hit your local gym for two to three weeks killing all the cardio machines, possibly flirt with a couple of trainers to get the latest and greatest fitness tips, while participating in a few bootcamp or yoga classes. According to your scale you’ve lost some weight, though not significantly enough to satisfy you like that bikini goddess you wished to be.
So why are you not seeing results?!
First, in order for you to achieve the best results possible, begin scheduling your workout programs as a high priority. Spend at minimum three times a week doing physical activities whether that be in the gym, outdoor runs or playing sports, stay active throughout the week. Be consistent and be committed. Personally I like to train with a training partner. They don’t have to be at your fitness level, training partners can be fun and morally supportive. Secondly, create or follow a workout regime that you can easily stick with. It doesn’t have to be over the top, it just needs to include a variety of exercises that addresses increase in strength, endurance and hypertrophy (building lean muscle). • Strength training is used to help properly align the body, prevent bad posture, alleviate back pain, and increases bone density to help prevent

tend to prep last minute to try and attain their fitness goals but expect miracles in just a few weeks. It takes long term commitments to prepare your body for lifetime results.
• Endurance is a lot simpler to attain, all you have to do is maintain an above normal heart rate for an extended period of time. Be cautious though that with increased endurance comes

supplement, or fitness guru claiming that you can build muscle faster than you actually can. Men tend to follow programs that promise them muscle in a week. This kind of promise leads them to try drastic diets or workout programs which only lead to further disappointment. For women on the other hand it is usually the opposite case. There are a ton of articles out there telling women to lose rapid weight within an insanely short amount of time and the way to go about it typically includes long cardio sessions, silly light-weight dumbbell exercise routines, or severely limited dietary intake.
• Building lean muscle is the best way to shed fat for the long term. Your body uses your newly increased muscle mass to burn any excess calories stored as fat. For example, if you’re lifting weights for an hour, you’ll continue burning calories even while resting at home. So go out there and mix up your workout routines by building muscle and adding strength and endurance to your fitness regime. If you start now, you might just be in the best shape of your life this summer!

Common Ground
How and Why to Create Gender Neutral Spaces By LUX Design Inc. and photography by lisa petrole www.luxdesign.ca
76
| the stylish life magazine
home Men versus women. It is a battle that has gone on since Eve ate the apple. It infiltrates politics and education systems, societal structures and lunch boxes. It is even in your living room. Luckily, when it comes to your interior, there is a solution that is bound to make both men and women happy - and it is surprisingly easy to achieve. Whether you entertain friends often, are part of a couple, or want to eventually be, a gender neutral space might be your answer. At LUX Design, we have begun to notice a trend of more clients requesting spaces that are neither too masculine nor too feminine. Through informed choices related to colour, form and texture, you can create an end result in your space that is gender neutral, without losing its beauty and character. Colour: When making a gender neutral space, the trick with colour is to stay away from it. Colour has a lot of connotations and psychological connections. Although it is possible to create a masculine space in pink, it is very difficult to do so. Instead, choose a neutral set of base colours. White and grey, cream and brown, or black and white are some examples. Add one colour as an accent. This ties the space together and gives it personality. However, choose it wisely. Red, yellow and turquoise are examples of possible choices. As a general rule keep the accent colour warm as a contrast to the base neutrals. At LUX Design’s recently completed condo project Beecroft, the accent colour was yellow. It warmed up the white, grey and silver base colours. Form: In general, much like the human body, curves and circular shapes are more feminine, while angular forms are considered more masculine. This translates into the space in accessories, patterns and the shape of the furniture itself. To find a balance between the two, combine pieces with hard corners with pieces that have softer angles. There are endless combinations. If you have a modern, sleek sofa, consider offsetting it with a curvy comfortable chair. When it came to Beecroft, the space itself was angular. Most of the furniture pieces also had a hard edge. This is why we decided to offset the stylish life magazine |

it using circles. From the pattern on the wallpaper, to the shape of the accent table and chair, to the form of the accessories, the circle is repeated throughout. Texture: Similarly to form, texture can also be related to masculinity or femininity. When creating a gender neutral space, it is about balancing the hard and the soft. Go too far in either direction and the space will either become cold and unfriendly or too drab. Consider which pieces of furniture need to be most comfortable: the couch, chairs, carpet and then integrate sleeker, harder furniture into the space. Having said that, keep in mind that a sleek chair can also be extremely comfortable.
A shaggy carpet is offset by a glass coffee table and reflective white console in Beecroft. These opposing qualities are what make the space both elegant and comfortable. In the case of the sofa, it is gender neutral in itself. The masculinity of its form and sturdiness are balanced by the tufting. The battle of the sexes rages on, but it doesn’t have to be a war fought in the living room. By balancing colour, form and texture, you can create a gender neutral space that is comfortable for everyone - whether it’s main purpose is frequent entertainment, a friendly truce between partners, or in hopes of attracting a future partner.

Nail Shapes By Delia Lupan
The shape of your nails may be a matter of personal preference and style, but a well-chosen nail shape can noticeably improve the appearance of your hands, making them look more stylish and refined. While we usually tend to choose the shape of the nails according to what we like most or what is in fashion, there are some recommendations for which nail shapes best suit your fingers and hands. Normally, the shape of the nails should mimic the shape of the cuticles. This is the simplest guide of what nail shape will work best. You also need to pay attention to the appearance of your fingers, but ultimately, there is no right or wrong, so let’s take a look of what the options are:
Square Nails This shape is somewhat well liked and it has become fashionable over the last little while. It is one of the sturdiest nail shapes and works best for long, narrow fingers. However, it does require a lot of maintenance. Square nails look best on smaller nail beds; if worn on a wide nail bed, the hands can appear broad.
Square Oval (Squoval) Nails Combining the sophistication of the oval with the strength of the square, the squoval is a popular nail shape for most fingers. This shape is currently the most popular nail shape, as well as the most flattering one. The nail is still able to retain most of its natural strength, but the corners are slightly
Oval Nails
rounded, for a subtle, more feminine look.
This is a very elegant, sleek and supple
Almond Nails
shape, flattering for most of nail beds and fingers. This is a classic nail shape and gives wide nails a more feminine appearance. Oval nails are best for short fingers and nail beds as well, because it can make them look longer. This particular shape is very popular and can be easily maintained.
Round Nails This shape is one of the most traditional nail shapes, and it is ideal for women who like to keep short nails. It is flattering for wide nails, and gives the illusion of a thinner nail bed. The round nail shape is also a safe choice because it is easy to maintain and complements longer fingers or larger hands. This shape is durable and simple, yet chic.
The almond nail shape elongates and adds a feminine flare to shorter fingers, making the fingers appear thinner and delicate. It is a similar shape to oval nails, but the end is much narrower. This shape is usually not very strong and nails can break easier.
Stiletto Nails This shape is a more exaggerated form of the almond shape and the look is more for the daring. It is also known as pointed nails and usually the choice for those looking for a long and slender appearance of their hands. While this shape may be a style to try, it is the weakest nail shape and it is often seen done on acrylic or gel nails. However, nails shaped this way are certainly not practical for day-to-day activities. Overall, it is more of a trend than a staple shape.

The Story of
Adam Korson Planting a Seed in the Entertainment Industry By: Yael Gottesman and Photography By: Diana Ragland

| the stylish life magazine
leisure Actor Adam Korson seems to be everywhere these days, both big screen and small. Graduating from Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts at the top of his class, he snatched up the leading role as “Harry” in City TV’s comedic series Seed, which aired February 4th. Prior to his role in Seed, he starred in hit television series such as CBS’s 2 Broke Girls, and CW’s Emily Owens MD. He also has a long list of theatrical and indie credits to add to his already impressive (and growing) resume. He played Dan Woolf in Patrick Marber’s production of Closer, Jean Paul Marat in Marat/Sade An Adaptation, and Adam Lipshitz in the smash hit Jewtopia; to name only a few. Adam contributes the highlights of working on those projects solely to the other actors and actresses involved. “There was something special about 2 Broke Girls. I think because I got to be there at the beginning, as well as briefly being able to work with TV legend John Burrows.” According to Adam, there really isn’t much of a difference acting in indie versus theatre films. “I think regardless of what you are filming, your fellow colleagues are the catalyst for making any project enjoyable, creative and challenging; from cast, to director, to crew.” Although it seems like Adam was destined to be an actor from a young age, he didn’t always see it that way. “I wanted to be so many different things,” he says. “A doctor, a cop, a fireman, a football player,” which he admits he still wants to be. He explains that “it wasn’t actually those professions I wanted, it was what I was seeing on screen. Then passion and obsession for my craft and this industry took over.” During the time in which Adam studied at Randolph Academy, he says he rarely had any time for anything outside of acting. “They didn’t really give us the opportunity for anything else. But I loved it and your fellow classmates become an extended family of sorts. I had a very supportive group of friends in college.” Luckily for Adam now when he does have free time, he can partake in some of his favorite past times which he describes as “anything active.” the stylish life magazine |

Decoding The First Date By Melissa Grosser
The process of dating can be a stressful, nerve wrecking, hit or miss situation that the majority of people dread in the beginning. When you meet someone or are set up with “the one”, at least according to your mutual friends, you may approach the first date as a job rather than a fun opportunity to interact with an individual who is fresh and new to your world. Instead of treating a first date like a chore, transform it into a fun activity – a chance to experience something new and feeling good as you do it.
Setting The Date To gauge what your date is like, pick up the phone and have a conversation for a few minutes. Get a feel for the person and start to learn what they like. If the conversation flows, dive right in and set up the in-person date. Skip the typical coffee shop – try to find an interactive activity where you two can talk and experience something fun. Rather than experiencing something that feels like a job interview, this is a better way to determine chemistry and common interests when you are relaxed and having fun.
Pre-Date Prep No matter what the background is on the first date – whether you are excited or not, it is important to put your best foot forward. Once you establish where the date will take place, make sure your wardrobe selection is appropriate for the activity. In terms of the actual look, put forth effort so you appear put together and you are showing off your physical attributes with confidence. Let your best self shine through to your date without overdoing yourself. Aside from your attire, keep your mind open and clear. No pre-date research is necessary. Go into it and learn about your date first hand.

Helicopter Parenting:
Raising Kids Who Never ReallyGrow Up By LG Davidson
92
| the stylish life magazine
Recently, I had a conversation with a friend about the differences between educational and social experiences when we were kids compared to those of kids today. We reminisced about the butterflies we felt in our tummies when our parents went to “Meet the Teacher Night”, and prayed that the teacher would forget to bring up that math test we flunked or the many times he/ she had to tell us to get back to work and stop talking with the students around us. Nowadays, growing up looks very different. When parents come to meet their children’s teachers, it is no longer the kids, but rather the teachers who dread that evening. Parents come to them and demand to know why their child is not a straight A student, and scoff at the idea that their child is anything but perfect.
Many youth today lack accountability. When a child gets into trouble, a parent often bails them out by either telling them that it’s “ok” or convincing a teacher that the punishment was too harsh. As a result, the child never learns to be responsible for their own actions, creating an adult that carries a belief that their actions never have repercussions.
Helicopter parenting refers to a style of upbringing where the mom and/or dad “hover” around their child’s every move, completing tasks for them, and coddling their kids at the slightest sign of embarrassment, or failure. What was once thought of as a loving way to raise a family, has resulted in a generation of youth that have never truly grown up. This is dangerous when the children of hovering parents step into the “real world”.
By protecting them from life’s challenges, parents hinder the development of their children’s ability to be self sufficient. They show signs of an inability to problem solve and think on their own. In theory, being protective and saving our kids from stress and failure seems like the loving thing to do. However, the reality is, eventually children leave the nest and begin a life of their own. The most loving thing a parent can do is teach them to fly and give them the tools they need to soar.
Youth of helicopter parents develop a fear of failure and never learn to be confident with their own decisions. By constantly swooping in to rescue a child from stress, it sends a message to the child that the parent does not believe that their kids can get through it on their own, making them unable to problem solve or fend for themselves. Eventually, the child becomes unwilling to take risks all together.

beauty Throughout history, gold has been recognised for its beautifying properties. Historians state that Cleopatra slept in a gold mask every night to maintain her youthful looks. As intriguing as that sounds, I had to try the golden treatment out for myself. My experience with the 24 karat gold facial was an enjoyable one. The spa facial was at The Private World of Mary Tripi in Yorkville, Toronto. A good value at $150 for 90 minutes (or $130 for one hour), as it allowed ample time for complete and total repose. The facial also incorporated a lengthy upper body massage, with techniques that trigged pressure points and promoted lymphatic drainage. Drainage of the lymphatic system is an important component of the detoxification process, as it reduces swelling. I especially liked the exfoliation scrub used on my arms and hands, while the facial treatment had time to penetrate the skin.
Show Me the Gold! There were several steps to this facial process. The part that stood out was having sheets of 24 karat gold placed on my face and left to sit for a few minutes. The Radiant Mask, also with 24 karat gold, was applied and massaged into the skin with mineral water, until it was absorbed. This was followed by covering the entire face and eyes with the Cooling Peel Off Seaweed Mask. The mask sets in for 15 minutes and was then removed by peeling. The mask provided a refreshing and cool feeling and the treatment was concluded with an application of anti-wrinkle cream and some SPF. The final result was immediate plumper and smoother skin which glowed. It felt more elastic, and I noticed that several lines on my face were not visible anymore. My skin’s tone also had a much healthier and youthful appearance. It is also worth mentioning that I have very sensitive skin. None of the products used on me during the facial caused any irritation or discomfort.
What Gold Has to Offer? Science recognizes the stability that gold brings to the skin. After massaged, gold produces heat energy and releases negative ions that remove free radicals within skin cells. Free radicals can cause age related illness. A gold facial can therefore: • Detoxify, by purging the skin of common environmental pollutants • Accelerate the regeneration of skin cells • Cool and protect skin from inflammation • Reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles • Brighten the skin the stylish life magazine |

The History of Swimwear From carriages to bikinis, the evolution of bathing suits over the past 150 years reads like a fashion novella, complete with changing gender roles and sexual liberation. By Megan E. Stacey
98
| the stylish life magazine
lifestyle You have your toes in the sand perfectly tousled, beachy curls and you’re rocking your favourite bikini for a day at the beach. If you were visiting the same shoreline in the 1800s, your summer time getaway would have been vastly different. Trade cute flip flops for scratchy stockings and canvas shoes, your curls for a bonnet and bun, and ditch the bikini in favour of a carriage. For a woman visiting the beach in the late 19th century, it was more of an exercise in torture than it was in swimming or tanning. “Their modesty would be preserved by hiring a bathing machine – which was like a covered cart behind a horse – and be pulled out into the water,” explains Ingrid Mida, a dress historian and collection coordinator at the Ryerson Fashion Research Collection. Swimwear with greater dress and fashion implications began to emerge in the early 1900s. It was around this time that swimming became more than just what you did during a trip to the seaside and became established as a sport. It was a famous Australian swimmer named Annette Kellerman who introduced a one-piece, knit swimsuit to the world in 1907, explains Mida. “Although she was arrested for indecent exposure, this form-fitting, less restrictive mode of attire caught on.” In the 1920s, swimwear was re-imagined with some of these new ideas in mind. A woman’s bathing attire usually included a pair of knee-length shorts – almost like a baggy version of today’s biking shorts – with a long tank top made of scratchy wool, says Peggy Morrison, fashion program director and instructor at Blanche Macdonald Centre in B.C. While much of the early innovation in bathing costumes came about due to functionality needs, swimwear isn’t exclusive of street wear trends either. In fact, most historic swimwear aligns closely with the popular styles and fashions of the decades. “Bathing suits have followed the general trends of fashion in terms of colour, fabrication, and embellishment,” Mida confirms. According to Morrison and Mida, in Victorian times, bathing costumes reflected the need for women to be covered “from your chin to the floor,” while 1930s swimwear emphasized glamour.
“Elsa Schiaparelli patented the first backless bathing suit with a built in bra, mirroring the backless evening dress popular during that decade,” Mida says. Sun tanning also became popular in this era, and a backless suit was the perfect way to show off your tan. Of course, there are some notable highlights of the 20th century. Claire McCardell was an American designer who created the “diaper swimsuit” in1942. A large sheath of cloth was pulled from behind the body, through the legs, and fastened on the sides of the waist like a diaper. The suit was tied with a drawstring around the neck and at the waist. The advent of a two-piece bathing suit occurred in the mid-1900s. Classic high-waisted bottoms and supportive tops were “a means of saving fabric but still covered the navel,” Mida says. While it was certainly more revealing than earlier models, the entrance into two-piece territory is quite modest by today’s string bikini standards. Designer Louis Réard first revealed the iconic “bikini” in 1946. “Named after the small Bikini Atoll island in the South Pacific, this bikini used less than 76 cm of fabric and exposed the midriff and navel,” says Mida. Although popular culture saw the suit featured in movies, it was by no means considered decent for the general public during the 1940s and 50s. The sexual revolution of the 1960s lent popularity to clothing with sheer and cut-out details. The same was true of swimwear. “That’s where you start to see for the first time some truly revealing swimwear,” explains Morrison. Everyone remembers the high cut of bathing suit bottoms in the 1970s and 80s. A leg cut well up the thigh was in vogue. Mida says this trend was a way to focus on other body parts after the entrance of the abdomen-baring bikini a few decades earlier. Swimwear in 2014 gives you all the glamour of the 1930s, the modesty of the 1800s (but with the addition of style and functionality!), and the unique recreations born over the past 150 years. Today, swimwear is all about options. The pattern you want, the style to flatter your body, unique details– it can all be yours.

Orgasm Science! Adventures with the Afterglow Vibrator By Lauren “Pants Pantoliano
102
| the stylish life magazine
health I love this job. I really mean it. Not only do I get to share my stories with you, but I also get freebies! Freebies rock, and my most recent freebie is a real doozy. I received a long, surprisingly heavy box recently, and unwrapped it to find a beautiful white leather box with a locking mechanism that housed a pale purple and white vibrator. Oh but not just any vibrator, this baby is the Afterglow, a vibrator featuring PulseWave™ light technology. A gynecologist with the help of a laser physicist designed a new combination of light wavelengths and vibrating pulses after stumbling upon high levels of arousal and orgasm in women undergoing laser treatment for pelvic pain. Oh how I love science. The Afterglow is similar in shape and size to most other high-quality vibrators out there, featuring two “fingers”; one about six inches long and two and a half inches wide, and the other about half that size, sitting right on top, ready to rub all the sweet spots. It’s rock hard, like the boner on a super fit 21 year old, but much softer and smoother, and has a handle that fits perfectly in a clenched palm, with only a few buttons to confuse you if you’re not great at multitasking. But that’s where the similarities end. The Afterglow has a button that causes it to light up like the 4th of July! Bright, flashing red and blue lights make it feel like you’re hosting your own light show under your sheets that work in combination with vibrations to supposedly up the self-given orgasm game. The Afterglow has an instruction booklet (yes, it requires instructions, it also comes with a travel bag, a cleaning cloth and a USB charger - brilliant) which claims that the Afterglow enhances arousal in ways that other sex toys don’t, by following an eight-minute “PulseWave journey” that builds on the four phases of the sexual response cycle: excitement, plateau, orgasm and resolution. The eight-minute program offered by the PulseWave O button on the Afterglow takes you through several changes in vibration and light, designed to enhance arousal during the excitement and plateau phases, as well as achieve “the Kundalini”, a term used in tantric sex teachings meaning energy for a more full body orgasm. It also claims that the PulseWave program can improve a woman’s chances of having multiple orgasms back to back. However, in order to make these claims come to fruition, the Afterglow’s operating manual lists a ten-step process for achieving a full body orgasm, which requires deep breathing, some button pushing, timing and a lot of patience.
Needless to say, it didn’t take me long to carve out some time in my schedule to “research” my next article. Being the impatient little sex monkey I am, my first go-round with the Afterglow, I dove right in. Or should I say I dove it right in. I didn’t bother referring to the manual and I shoved that badboy right up in there, forgetting that I was used to smaller, more squishy vibrators, and disregarding the fact that penises, even if engorged to two and a half inches, still have some give to them. I’m used to big dicks, and sometimes even worry I’m becoming loosy-goosy, but this felt like I had sat on a washing machine with the lid open on the spin cycle. I’m pretty sure I jostled my intrauterine contraceptive loose. I still managed to have an orgasm, but it certainly didn’t feel “next-level” good. My second visit with the Afterglow involved my lover and a whole lot of beer. We had a great time with it for a bit, but more than anything it’s rigid design got in the way, so it got tossed aside. I’m pretty sure the Afterglow and its PulseWave technology are designed for solo missions. I can have all sorts of different kinds of orgasms with my lover, no toys required. One time I saw everything in cartoon when I came. No word of a lie. I really hoped my third time would be a charm, so I made sure to follow the instructions for the PulseWave program to a tee. I breathed the way it told me to, I didn’t shove the whole damn thing up inside of me, and I decreased pressure when I felt an orgasm building, but alas, a mere two minutes into my eight minute journey, I tried my best to hold back an orgasm, and had the teeniest whimper of an orgasm anyway. I tried to get myself going again, but I’m pretty sure my clit was mad at me because that bitch disappeared. I gave myself some space from Afterglow for a week or so, and then decided to give it another go. I did everything according to the manual, and even got about four minutes into the cycle, but the PulseWave technology and breathing combination got me so aroused, that I just couldn’t wait any longer. Rather than pulling back so I could experience the whole cycle, I urged forward and had one of the longest, most intense orgasms that I’ve ever had on my own. What can I say, I’ve never been good with waiting or following instructions. Not to say I won’t keep trying to reach the mysterious “Kundalini”, but in the meantime, I’m going to enjoy practicing. Until next time, keep it safe, keep it sexy and when all else fails, keep it as a great story. — xox Pants the stylish life magazine |
