Her Life
Beverly Vega Washington was born January 7th, 1973, the last baby, to the late great Arthur Sr. and Sadie Washington. She was raised in the Mt. Elliott Street Church of God in Christ, Detroit, Michigan under the Pastoral Leadership of the late Superintendent Cecil Boyd and First Lady Josephine Boyd. Her last known membership was at Second Holy Temple in Detroit under the pastor ship of the late Orell Rencher & Lady Jean Rencher. Beverly was educated in the Detroit Public School System where she excelled tremendously. She was an honor student coming up thru her senior year and graduating South Eastern High School of Detroit, Michigan, Home of the Jungaleers!!! She loved being with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She loved watching and playing football & basketball. She really loved music and dancing. She also loved singing. She hated to be bored, she always found something exciting to do. Beverly was gifted a full ride scholarship to Ferris State University, in Big Rapids, Michigan, where she majored in Journalism and Communication. She worked in the retail industry for a few years as a customer service attendant. In the early morning hours of April 17th 2022, her life was cut short and God called her home. Beverly is preceded in death by Brothers Carl and David, Sisters Ollie, Carolyn, Tawana, and Linda, nephews, Mario Washington-Mays, Joshua Holloway, great cousin, Paul Neal Jr, great nephew, Kaie-John LaFleur and great niece Jazel LaFleur. Beverly’s life of memories will be cherished by her family; daughters Autumn and Ambianne Rodgers, one brother, Arthur Jr., 8 (of 13) sisters, Dorothy Mix, Arlene McClain (Charles Sr.), Marilynn Mays, (Russell), Brenda Washington, Cristal Taylor, (Sebastian), Ethel Washington, RaDonna Bell (Anthony Sr.), Aleatrice Holloway, several Aunts, Uncles, and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and special neighborhood and school friends.
