Little Dance in Chaska (“Chaske Cikala Wacipi”) Saturday, Aug. 18 and Sunday, Aug 19 Chaska’s McKnight Park will once again be the site of the “Little Dance in Chaska” (Chaske Cikala Wacipi). This special Native American event is scheduled for August 18 and 19. The grand entry will be at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturday and again at 1 p.m. on Sunday. The event is free to the public. This will be the third year for this celebration, and special recognition is being planned for the 38 Native Americans hung in Mankato 150 years ago, including Chaske.
Clayhole Beach Days Thursday, June 14 and Friday, June 15 Join us for two days of summer swimming fun! $1 admission, games start at 2 p.m. Each day promises to bring a variety of beach activities for all ages. Chaska Safety Camp Wednesday, July 18 and Thursday, July 19, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Youth entering 3rd and 4th grades in fall of 2012 Safety camp will take place at the Chaska Fire Department on Wednesday, July 18 and at Firemen’s Park on Thursday, July 19. The cost for the two day safety camp is $25. The registration fee includes lunch and snacks, games, activities, a safety camp t-shirt and more! Space is limited. Chaska River City Days Triathlon Do you like a challenge? Then you should join us on Saturday, July 21 at 7:30 a.m. for the seventh annual River City Days Triathlon. This event will include a 1/3 mile swim, 16-mile bike and a 3-mile run. If you aren’t ready to do the whole thing by yourself, grab a couple friends and compete as a team. Following savasana, decorate your body with the ancient art of mehndi – temporary hand-drawn henna designs! Draw your own or have Susan design your body art. Henna designs are typically on the feet, hand or arms and fade away in 1–3 weeks. Party snacks and refreshments provided.

Disc Golf Course Disc Golf Rentals at the CCC! Get outside this year and try your hand at an exciting game of disc golf! The Chaska Community Center now offers free disc rentals to be used at the fantastic 9-hole Chaska Disc Golf Course. Discs and course maps are available at the Chaska Community Center front desk.
