oho Chic refers to the revamped bohemian style that initially took the world by storm back in the 60s. It stemmed from the Hippie Movement and resulted in some pretty quirky aesthetics that featured a few unique and distinct trends. The Icon Studio design team found inspiration in the retro anomaly of this interior design style, and ended up designing a distinguished Boho Chic HDB with a dash of contemporary. Let’s take a look at how you can accomplish such a challenging design successfully!

Unique Textures Just like finishes and décor, it is very crucial that the right texture palate be built in order to capture the uniqueness of the Contemporary Boho Chic style. A combination of rough, tactile textures against sleek, conventionally modern ones is always the way to go. The tile selections in both of these bathroom designs are the perfect example of this.
Using Ambient Temperatures The ambient temperature refers to the light emission ‘colour’ that makes up the atmosphere or ambience of any space. You can use dim gold to represent the Boho Chic, while using bluish white in the same space to represent its contemporary counterparts. Accessories and Finishes In order to translate any interior design style successfully in any space, ensure that all the small parts that make up that style remain uniform. However, the Icon Studio team has used a plethora of contrasting accessories and finishes to get the desired Contemporary Boho Chic aesthetic. The open floor concept is one of them. It consists of a centralized living room that connects to a freestyle dining space or an open kitchen – sometimes both. The ample amount of circulation space you can get from this decidedly gypsy concept is one of the biggest benefits of this arrangement. Therefore, the popularity of the kitchen-dining combo has resulted in many new subsets – including the kitchen-island-dining, the kitchen bar-style dining, the breakfast nook, an informal dining space, and more. In light of these, the team from The Interior Lab has come up with an ultimate kitchen-dining combo that will surely inspire you. But first, a little about The Interior Lab:

The Interior Lab design team oversaw the design and execution of the Strathmore home, and came up with the perfect design for an open-kitchen-cum-dining area. Here is how it went:
The dining area is longitudinal and designed to emulate a clearly industrial-rustic aesthetic. It is the bridge between the living room and the kitchen space. Its design has been specifically crafted to be the ultimate public zone. You can definitely entertain guests here, but if the mood calls for it, it can also be an introspective space to sit down with just a bowl of rice on a particularly tiring day.
The kitchen bleeds into the dining space, but clearly maintains its own identity as well. There are appliances built into the side wall that make the cooking – or even reheating – experience just a tad easier. Moreover, the longitudinal counter space and the open shelving on the feature wall create an efficient yet aesthetically pleasing look that adds to the value of the overall design. These tips are not specific to any leather treatment, and
which helps even out the colour of the surface. While this relatively damage resistant variety of leather is easier to maintain, it still needs its share of care. Here’s what to do if you own a leather couch of the semi-aniline variety:

Such items include, but are not limited to shoes, belt buckles and zippers. • If you or a family member have an artistic streak, it’s best to not bring stationery near your sofa, especially if the leather is of a pastel shade. • When cleaning out your sofas, concentrate on the areas which are more prone to human exposure than usual-these include the armrests, headrests and obviously, seats. • Leather dries out fairly quickly, so keep away all harsh lights away from your sofa. This goes without saying-do not place your sofa set directly under a source of sunlight.

To emulate the marble texture in modern homes!
Marble
has always been synonymous with either luxury or classical design ventures when it comes to interior design. it is one of those materials that have been around for centuries, and have secured a special place in the design world. However, quarrying and setting and sealing the marble can be a time consuming and tedious task. It is very easily available, but using authentic marble on vertical surfaces in any interior design can be inefficient and adversely recommended. You can, however use marble-textured laminates to evoke a certain aura, a style or an ambience. Today, we’ll feature four ways you can emulate the marble texture in modern homes. 1) An Accent Wall You can certainly don an entire feature or accent wall in Carrera marble style laminates to emulate a classic Greek or Roman style look. However, the finish matters very much in any application form. A high gloss finish on a feature wall application can add a sufficiently modernized aura to an otherwise classical take on the ambience. 2) The Looking Mirror Conundrum Too much of a marble texture in just a small room can seem overbearing and stifling. So you can emphasize your use of marble by using a large looking mirrors in the space adjacent to the actual marble laminated wall. This way, you can double the aesthetics of your room, and double the impact of the marble surface in your homes at the same time.
3 ) G r o ov i n g I t O u t Authentic marble can be used in an infinite amounts of designs. It has the ability to capture a grand ambience and deliver a truly upscale outlook. Marble laminates are not very different in that respect. You can use grooves to incorporate custom designs and geometry in your applications. You can even create unique shelving units and recessed light coves to give the marble aesthetic much more credence and impact!
4) H a l f T h e S pa c e Since there are quite a few alternative ways in which you can use marble texture and laminates in your home interior designs, you have to select a few that make the most impact with their design.
