Re:Peace Magazine presents “Express your Peace” Competition! Competition! Competition! As challenges unfold around the world, many of them require our attention, focus, and utmost strength to overcome. We believe in your ability to act and raise awareness of urgent issues. As the Center for Peace Studies celebrates its anniversary, we have launched the “Express Your Peace” competition. We are receiving submissions from different voices and perspectives that align with our thematic question. THEME: What does peace mean to you? Represent your answer in
your submission.
Your submission must highlight the theme for it to be deemed eligible for consideration and must be the entrant's original work SUBMISSION: We are accepting four major formats of submission for this event. 1. VIDEO CATEGORY: We accept short films or free-form videos with a maximum of 5 minutes. Entries may be submitted in English or any other language, but subtitles for other languages must be provided. 2. WRITTEN CATEGORY: Original poems (no more than 500 words) and articles highlighting the subject matter (no more than 1500 words) will be accepted. 3. VISUAL CATEGORY: Original photos with commentary of no more than 100 words will be accepted for submission. 4. AUDIO CATEGORY: We accept voice recordings and original compositions (maximum of 3 minutes). HOW TO SUBMIT: To submit your entries all you need is to click on this link or scan the QR code below and fill in the form.
WHO: Submissions are open to everyone. However, the competition is only open to students and researchers from the Arctic University of Norway (UiT).
Submissions in different categories by one entrant are allowed, but entrants can only submit one entry in each category. PRIZE: The respective winners would be presented with a monetary gift of NOK 1000 and a certificate of recognition. Notable entries and winners in each category would be featured in our magazine and invited to perform during any of our grand celebrations. WINNERS: The Video and Audio category winners would be determined by a combination of judges' ratings and public voting, while other entries would be determined solely by judges' evaluation. SUBMISSION DEADLINE: The deadline for submission is the 27th of January 2023.
Please note that entries will be publicly displayed during our upcoming event on February 1st, where winners will be announced, and prizes awarded. Submission of entries is subject to the entrant having obtained the appropriate permissions, where applicable, from the necessary parties and consenting to our public display of the submitted files.
