Taste of the Nation:

The 27th annual culinary event is set for May 7, 7:30-10 p.m., at the Georgia Aquarium and will benefit No Kid Hungry. Some of Atlanta’s most celebrated chefs and mixologists will be on hand for the event including 4th & Swift, Chops, Davio’s, 10 Degrees South, Holeman and Finch, KR Steak Bar, Bacchanalia, Rosebud, See, Canoe and many others. Atlantic Station Restaurant Week:

The second annual event is set for May 9-17 with lunch menus from $10-$15 and dinner menus from $25-$35. A list of participating restaurants had not been released at press time, so visit atlanticstation.com for details.

Downtown Steak Week:

If you’re hankerin’ for a hunk of meat, then Downtown Atlanta is the place to be May 11-17. Diners will find creative interpretations of steak dishes at participating restaurants: Alma Cocina, Café 458, Cuts Steakhouse, Fire of Brazil, Jalapeño Charlie’s, McCormick and Schmick’s, Nikolai’s Roof, Polaris, Prime Meridian, Ray’s in the City, ROOM at TWELVE, Sway, Thrive, Trader Vic’s, Truva and Twenty-Two Storys. A Taste of the Highlands:

The annual benefit for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta will be held May 16, 2-5 p.m., in John Howell park in Virginia-Highland. Participating restaurants include Alma Cocina, Alon’s, Atkins Park, Chow Baby, DBA Barbecue, The Family Dog, Rosebud, El Taco, Ecco, Flip Burger, Last Word, La Tavola, Lure, Mi Cocina, Noche, Osteria 832, San Francisco Coffee, Timone’s, The Warren, Woody’s, Mali, Murphy’s, Genki, Barcelona, Fontaine’s, Highland Tap, Barefoot Wine & Bubbly, Cato Family Vineyards, Cypress Street Pint & Plate, Doc Chey’s, Black Stallion Winery, Grain and Belle Ambiance Vineyards. Atlanta Food & Wine Festival:

The fifth annual event returns May 28-31 to the streets of Midtown. The festival will lead attendees on journey through the Southern region with an extensive schedule of programs, classes, events and guest appearances. Chefs from around the southeast will converge on Atlanta to prepare and talk about food. Tickets are $100 per person for entrance to the Tasting Tents. A day pass, which includes three Learning Experience events, is $185.
