ou might remember that Solomon talked about ancient landmarks a little earlier in Proverbs 23. However, this is not a repeat of his previous point. Actually, he uses a similar example but wants us to notice something new. This time, he wants to point out that whatever you do, God sees it; and not only does God see it, but He also repays. We realize that in an earthly court we have the right to stand before a judge and jury, but that doesn’t mean justice is always served. Not so with God. Galatians 6:7 says, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” Some people receive their just reward for sin now; others will receive it later. One thing, however, is certain. Everyone will receive their just reward sooner or later. We need to remember that sin is not the only thing that is repaid.
