Siempre escuché esa recomendación y siempre me pregunté cómo hacían aquellos que metían dos o tres cosas en la valija y estaban listos para partir. Soy viajera frecuente y, sin embargo, nunca pude lograr el famoso “ir con lo justo y necesario”.

Mi último viaje me encontró con el mismo equipaje de siempre, cargado de cosas útiles y algunas cuantas no tanto. Sin embargo, por primera vez sentí que viajaba liviana.

Me habían invitado a Las Grutas, en Río Negro, y a pesar de mi entusiasmo, había en mí una extraña emoción que no lograba descifrar. No fue hasta que estuve sentada en el avión cuando me di cuenta de que esa sensación de “liviandad” se debía a que por primera vez dejaba en casa lo más importante de mi mundo: mis dos pequeñas hijas.

Desde que ellas nacieron, el mundo exterior decidió esperarme, paciente. Mis viajes se volvieron hacia adentro, hacia un territorio nuevo, mágico y desconocido. Viajé tanto y tan hondo por la maternidad, que mi primer avión sola y con mi maleta me encontró liviana como nunca.

Fue un viaje al destino y a mi reencuentro. Entre las bellezas del lugar, fui redescubriendo también mi amor por la profesión. La fauna marina, las playas paradisíacas, el blanco de las salinas y cada paisaje en los que mis ojos se detenían fascinados y curiosos, dejaban en mí un recuerdo y la satisfacción de estar pisando el suelo de mi vocación.

Viajé liviana y con un ancla invisible que siempre me muestra el camino de regreso. Fui, miré con mis ojos suyos, me llené de experiencias nuevas para contarles y no tengo ni idea de si usé o no todo lo que llevé. Es que cuando viajás así de liviana, te das cuenta de que lo importante (lo verdaderamente importante y necesario) nunca podrá estar en una valija.

I´ve always heard that recommendation and I´ve always wondered how those people could pack two or three things in their suitcase and were ready to leave. I´m a frequent traveler and, however, I´ve never been able to follow the expression “pack the minimum necessary” On my last trip, my luggage was the same as always, full of useful things and some others not so much. Yet, for the first time I felt I was traveling light.

I was invited to Las Grutas, in Río Negro, and in spite of my enthusiasm, I had a strange feeling that I couldn´t decode. It wasn´t until I was sitting on the plane that I was aware that that sensation of “lightness” was due to the fact that for the first time I left the most important thing in my life at home: my two little daughters.

Since they were born, the outside world decided to wait for me, patiently. My trips became inwardlooking, towards a new, magic and unknown territory. I traveled so much and so deeply because of the maternity that my first flight alone and with my suitcase found myself light as never.

It was a trip to the destination and to my reunion. Among the beauties of the place, I also rediscovered my love for the profession. The marine fauna, the paradisiacal beaches, the white salt mines and every landscape in which my eyes fascinatedly and curiously stopped, left me a memory and the satisfaction of being stepping on the ground of my vocation.

I traveled light and with an invisible anchor that always shows me the way back. I went there, I looked around through my daughters´ eyes, I got full of new experiences to tell and I have no idea whether or not I wore everything I packed.

The thing is that when you traveled in such a light way, you realized that the important thing (the truly important and necessary thing) will never be within a suitcase.

PARADOR. En el verano, el Parador Náutico Serena suma actividades de kayak, standup (una plataforma acuática recreativa), snorkeling y avistaje de lobos marinos y delfines. \\ HOSTEL. BALLENA FRANCA. Las ballenas llegan al Golfo San Matías para dar a luz a sus crías y aparearse desde el otoño y hasta la primavera. Los machos, más pequeños que las hembras, cooperan para que uno de ellos pueda copular a una gran hembra, que puede alcanzar hasta 16 metros de largo y pesar 45 toneladas. Las crías nacen un año después, con un peso aproximado de 5 toneladas y pueden aumentar hasta 150 kilos por día alimentándose sólo de leche. Las ballenas francas son identificadas fotografiando las callosidades que tienen en sus cabezas, que muestran patrones únicos en cada ejemplar. Estas incrustaciones están formadas por acumulaciones de crustáceos y pequeños moluscos. \\ FRANK WHALE. The whales arrive at San Matías Gulf to give birth to young and to mate from fall to spring. The males, smaller than the females, cooperate for one of them to copulate with a big female, which can reach up to 16-meter-long and can weigh 45 tons. The calves are born a year later, weighing approximately 5 tons and can increase 150 kilos per day just by drinking milk. The Southern Right Whales are identified by photographing the calluses they have in their heads, which show unique patterns in every specimen. These incrustations are formed by accumulations of crustacean and little mollusks.

Suddenly, a whale majestically appears, and next to it another one, and another one” Watching in the waters of the blue gulf At the foot of the cliffs, an intense blue, warm, crystal sea is born. In its shores, sand and stones appear and disappear of the view to the rhythm of the tide, going up and down every six hours, in a never ending cycle and that offers two different landscapes a day.

Thinking of navigating those waters is in itself exciting.

Dolphins, seals, orcas, whales and penguins will have to briefly share a tiny space of their habitat with us, the curious tourists who look forward to watching them.

Embarked on adventure María José and Agustín are from Mercedes, province of Buenos Aires. In 1999, they moved their love to Las Grutas, in the province of Río Negro, to a house overlooking the sea.

From that view, they marvel at the tide show and sea animals, which appear over the clear waters of San Matías Gulf from time to time. For the last 8 years they have been offering watching excursions, with boats that, at the beginning, left from the shed of their own house and later, from the Serena Nautical Parador, a place they built just two blocks from their house. Joaquín, their little two-year-old-son, lives among that immense nature with the confidence of whom has already taken over a unique context. What for them it means a daily gift, for those who live surrounded by pavement, it means a privilege and great miracle.

It is 5 p.m. and the sky is deep blue, with a sun that has intensely accompanied us since morning. However, the sea fresh air from the Patagonia reminds us to wrap up warm before leaving. Many clothes, jackets with hoods, gloves and

enormous scarves: an exaggeration that made sense in the middle of the sea.

We left on a semi rigid boat for 10 people from Del Este Port, in San Antonio Este. The ship is 8- meter long approximately, and Agustín, our guide, tells us a detail that captures our attention: the Southern Right Whale that we are about to watch is twice the size of the ship.

You get covered with the smell of sea, the strong wind, the engine sound, the vision that travels around the endless landscape in 360 degrees. I am not used to such immensity, I feel like floating, I become part of everything. In the middle of the sea, an island inhabited by seals. The front sun draws them like a moving shadow, they are so many, some plunge and swim nearby. We sail on, we get even farther from the shore until the ship stops again. Agustín tells us that we have some company. We all stay silent, expecting. Suddenly, a whale majestically appears, and next to it another one, and another one. They are sociable and curious beings, they look for us, they are so close that the emotions fully pile up in my throat. They play around us, they go under our ship, they appear and disappear. They´ll remain in my memory for ever.

On our way back, some penguins float on the surface, they take out their feet in the sun to regulate their temperature and, by the way, they give us the joy of watching them. The cold is really intense, but the experience completely annulled any sensation of discomfort in our bodies.

We reached the coast surprised and marveled, maybe more humble, knowing ourselves as a negligible part of such tremendous immensity. And for sure, happier.

Naturaleza, avistaje de aves y vestigios de la cultura originaria. En el área protegida Bahía de San Antonio, El Jahuel es un refugio para las aves migratorias que viajan desde Alaska hasta Tierra del Fuego. Hay allí un museo para visitar, que cuenta el paso de los pueblos originarios, y una confitería con vista al mar, atendida por la familia que lleva adelante todo este emprendimiento ecoturístico. Las meriendas caseras, tan inolvidables como el lugar. \\ Nature, bird watching and native culture remain. In the protected area of San Antonio Bay, El Jahuel is a refugee for migratory birds that travel from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego. There is a museum which talks about the native towns, and a cafeteria overlooking the sea, run by the family who is in charge of this ecotourism undertaking. The homemade snacks are as unforgettable as the place.

UN OLIVAR CERCA DEL MAR

70 hectáreas de un olivar con mucho potencial. Olivares Oleosan produce aceite de oliva patagónico y aceitunas griegas, que se obtienen mediante un proceso artesanal y minucioso desde la recolección, el período de maduración y su cocción en sal. Un lugar agraciado por el clima marítimo, sin granizo ni heladas, y por las grandes mareas que originan ventiscas beneficiosas para las plantaciones. \\ AN OLIVE GROVE NEAR THE SEA. A 70-hectare- olive grove with much potential. The Oleosan Olive Grove produces Patagonian olive oil and Greek olives, which are obtained through a detailed and handcrafted process from the harvesting, the ripening stage and the cooking in salt. A place blessed by the maritime climate, without hail nor frost, and by the big tides that originate beneficial blizzards for the plantations.

MUSEO INGENIERO JACOBACCI

Una histórica vivienda construida en 1908 en donde vivieron el Ingeniero Jacobacci y su familia, hoy convertida en el museo antropológico más joven de la región. El ingeniero italiano llegó a la Argentina para supervisar las obras del primer ferrocarril que funcionó en la localidad, uniendo la zona con Bariloche. Recorrer las distintas salas de la casa es viajar un poco, con muestras que cuentan la historia del paisaje, la geología y la prehistoria de San Antonio y sus pueblos originarios. \\ ENGINEER JACOBACCI MUSEUM. A historic house, built in 1908, where the engineer Jacobacci and his family lived, became the newest anthropological museum in the area today. The Italian engineer arrived in Argentina to supervise the works for the first railroad in the region, linking the zone with Bariloche. Touring around the different rooms of the house is like traveling a bit, with evidence that tells the story of the landscape, the geology and the prehistory of San Antonio and its native towns.

GASTRONOMÍA PATAGÓNICA

Hablar de gastronomía típica de la zona es hablar de pescados y mariscos, y aquí sin dudas se pueden probar exquisiteces. En El Puerto Restaurante, Moni y José prepararon un menú degustación de lujo: pulpitos, crocante de ostras, langostinos al roquefort, cholgas gratinadas y más. Y para seguir con la cocina de mar, el chef Leo Perazzoli, en el Restaurante Del Azul, nos agasajó con cholgas, ceviche de mariscos, gambas al ajillo y merluzón, todo acompañado por vinos de Río Negro.\\ PATAGONIAN GASTRONOMY. Talking about the typical gastronomy of the area is talking about fish and shellfish, and undoubtedly here you can taste delicacies. At Puerto Restaurante, Moni and José prepared an exquisite tasting menu: octopus, oyster crisps, prawns with blue cheese, grated mussels, and more. And to continue with the sea cookery, at Restaurante Del Azul, the chef Leo Perazzoli delighted us with mussels, shellfish ceviche, garlic prawns and merluzón, everything accompanied by wines from Río Negro.

El blanco esconde leyendas, historias de embrujos y tehuelches. Lugar de energía única, donde contemplar atardeceres puede hacerte transportar tu mente, irte lejos, encontrarte hondo. Son 420 km2 de sal, a 72 metros por debajo del nivel del mar. El sol pega de lleno sobre el blanco e irradia luz. Naturalmente, todos los presentes hacemos silencio. Hay algo que nos excede, que nos invade. Somos parte minúscula en tremenda inmensidad.\\ El blanco esconde leyendas, historias de embrujos y tehuelches. Lugar de energía única, donde contemplar atardeceres puede hacerte transportar tu mente, irte lejos, encontrarte hondo. Son 420 km2 de sal, a 72 metros por debajo del nivel del mar. La provincia es dueña de una amplia variedad de uvas, añejadas en roble, cuyos vinos de crianza - sauvignon, moscatel, pinot, malbec - permiten evocar hierbas, flores, frutas, tabacos y cueros con aires serranos, disfrutando el mágico ritual de catar un vino con impronta única. Una agradable experiencia para los sentidos, para compartir eventualmente o en la vida cotidiana, en momentos con amigos, en la mesa familiar o durante un descanso.

Córdoba cuenta con bodegas en los distintos valles turísticos, en todos los casos se pueden realizar visitas guiadas con degustación de productos e incluso comprar el vino elegido en el lugar. Asimismo, la gran mayoría de estos lugares, preparados para el turista, disponen de un restaurant de primer nivel, e incluso en algunos casos cuentan con alojamientos de alta gama. Esta última experiencia permite disfrutar de la bodega, sus productos y vivenciar todo el proceso de elaboración.

Gracias a tecnologías de última generación, las bodegas cordobesas pudieron alcanzar significativos avances en la calidad de todos sus vinos y, en particular, en vinos de cepas de altura. Cada vez más bodegas y productores artesanales invitan a recorrer Córdoba y degustar sus vinos en las áreas Norte, Calamuchita, Traslasierra y Noroeste, convirtiéndose en la tierra de aquel histórico vino, pero también en la que acuna todo el sabor y el potencial del nuevo.

La Agencia Córdoba Turismo trabaja sobre el producto turístico “Los Caminos del Vino de Córdoba”, fomentando el trabajo de las bodegas, dictando capacitaciones, alentando el consumo responsable y difundiendo en ferias y eventos especializados la calidad de sus vinos. Además se han unificado criterios en el producto relacionados con una renovación integral de la señalética de todas las bodegas que poseen atención al turista.

El vino y su cultura, producción e historia forman parte de la importante oferta turística de la provincia.

CÓRDOBA, the pleasure of good wine As an excuse for new tourist experiences, the wine opens unusual spaces because of the natural and landscape beauty of its vineyards, its traditional wine cellars, aromas and bouquets that accompany the flavors and colors of the hills of Córdoba.

The province is owner of a wide range of grapes, aged in oak barrels, whose crianza wines –sauvignon, moscatel, pinot, malbec- allow to evoke herbs, flowers, fruits, tobaccos and leather with hill airs, enjoying the magic ritual of tasting a wine with such a unique mark. A delightful experience for the senses, to share occasionally or every day, with friends, family or during a break.

Córdoba has wine cellars in different tourist valleys. There are guided visits where people can taste the products or buy the wine selected in there. Additionally, most of these places, prepared for tourists, count on a top level restaurant and in some cases they even have luxurious accommodation. The latter option lets you enjoy the wine cellar, its products and experience the whole manufacture process.

Thanks to cutting-edge technologies, the wine cellars in Córdoba managed to make significant advance in the quality of its wines and, particularly, in high-altitude wines. More and more wine cellars and craft producers invite to tour around Córdoba and taste its wines in the north areas, in Calamuchita, in Traslasierra and in the northwest, becoming the land of that historic wine as well as the land that cradles all the flavor and potential of the new one.

The Agency Córdoba Turismo works on the tourist product “The Wine Paths of Córdoba”, fostering the work of the wine cellars, offering courses, encouraging the responsible consumption and advertising the quality of its wines at festivals and specialized events. Besides, criteria about the product and its integral renovation labeling have been unified in every wine cellar that has tourist attention.

The wine and its culture, production and history form part of the important tourist offer of the province.

Son 700 km de costa sobre el río Paraná, donde la historia navega entre su “gente de agua”, las ciudades y la naturaleza como emblema de esta tierra. Una provincia que siempre espera al turista con la cordialidad y el sentir típico del litoral, con sus aromas y sabores que conquistan e invitan a volver una y otra vez.

Jaaukanigás, el sitio Ramsar de la provincia Jaaukanigás es uno de los humedales más importantes del país en lo referente a su biodiversidad, con una superficie de 492.000 hectáreas. Su nombre significa “gente del agua” y contiene una muestra representativa del bioma llamado Delta e Islas del Paraná, caracterizado por el tipo de vegetación de bosques y selvas en galería.

Transitar el “amazonas de río templado” es asombrarse con monos, yacarés y una increíble diversidad de aves. Su patrimonio cultural está vinculado a la vida de los pescadores artesanales, su sabiduría ancestral y su cocina en base a pescado silvestre del lugar. Corredor de la RP N°1: El camino de la costa El camino de la costa santafesina abarca desde la localidad de Romang hasta la ciudad de Santa Fe, unidos vertebralmente por la ruta provincial N°1. El río, la pesca deportiva y la naturaleza son sus íconos, sumados al parque Arqueológico Ruinas de Santa Fe La Vieja. Es el corredor turístico más consolidado de la provincia y sus principales atracciones están vinculadas al turismo de naturaleza, pesca deportiva, turismo náutico y turismo arqueológico.

Corredor de la RN N°1: Ríos de historia y aventuras Esta región comienza en la localidad de Santo Tomé hasta Granadero Baigorria, teniendo como eje la Ruta Nacional N°11. Como otras regiones, comparte la importancia del río y las actividades turísticas que lo tienen como centro.

Sur. Laguna de Melincué La laguna de Melincué, humedal con gran biodiversidad de aves, se enmarca dentro de una Reserva Natural y ha sido testigo de los pueblos originarios, de la conquista y de una época de oro erigida como uno de los balnearios más exclusivos del país, hasta la gran inundación.

La presencia de importantes números del Flamenco Austral (Phoenicopterus chilensis), que nidifica en la laguna y que convive con el Flamenco Andino o Parina Grande (Phoenicopterus andinus), la transforma en un refugio para este tipo de aves. Asimismo, el barro de la laguna tiene acciones terapéuticas gracias al alto contenido de yodo en el agua.

SANTA FE, land with littoral flavor It is a 700-km- coast over the Paraná River, where the history sails among its “water people”, the cities and nature as a symbol of this land. A province that always awaits the tourist with warmth and the typical feeling of the littoral, with its aromas and flavors that conquer and invite to come back time after time.

Jaaukanigás, the Ramsar Site of the province Jaaukanigás is one of the most important wetlands in the country concerning its biodiversity, with a surface of 492.000 hectares (1215.76 acres). Its name means “water people” and it has a representative sample of the biome called Paraná Delta and Isles, characterized by the type of jungle vegetation and riverside woodlands.

Going through the “Amazon´s mild river” means to get amazed at monkeys, yacarés and an incredible diversity of birds. Its cultural patrimony is related to the life of fishermen, its ancestral wisdom and its cookery based on local wild fish.

It is possible to tour the islands of the Paraná River, whether it is for responsible fishing, or photographic safaris, by sailing, canoeing kayak or trekking.

Provincial Route N° 1: The coast way The coast way in Santa Fe covers the district of Romang up to the city of Santa Fe, joined by the provincial route N°1. The river, sports fishing and nature are its icons, apart from the Ruinas archeological park of Santa Fe La Vieja. It is the most consolidated tourist passage in the province and its main attractions are linked to the nature tourism, sports fishing, nautical tourism and archeological tourism.

National Route N° 1: Rivers of history and adventures This region starts in the district of Santo Tomé up to Granadero Baigorria, having the National Route as axis. Like other regions, it shares the importance of the river and the tourist activities around it.

South. Melincué Lagoon The Melincué Lagoon, wetland with a great bird biodiversity, is located within a Natural Reserve and was a witness of the native towns, of the Conquest and of a golden age erected as one of the most exclusive spa in the country, until the big flood.

The presence of an important number of Chilean Flamingos (Phoenicopterus chilensis), which nest in the lagoon and coexist with the Andean Flamingo (Phoenicopterus andinus), turns it into a refugee for this type of birds. Additionally, the mud of the lagoon has therapeutic properties thanks to the high content of iodine in the water.

Los puentes, esos caminos elevados, voladores y poéticos que conectan dos orillas, dos planos. Así comenzó nuestra escapada, aquí y allá, en el punto medio de dos lugares, en la confluencia de sentimientos que se dejan atrás y de otros que llegan. Desde el Puente Zárate Brazo largo, esa inmensa estructura de hormigón imponente que hermana Buenos Aires con la provincia de Entre Ríos.

De un lado, la ajetreada ciudad y del otro, un verde inmenso de campos sembrados. Una gama de colores cálidos en superficies onduladas que invitan al relax y hacen entretenido el viaje.

La ruta está en perfecto estado y, sin demora, el camino nos llevó a visitar varios poblados y ciudades, como la carnavalesca Gualeguaychú, que está a apenas 200 km y tiene termas para pasar unos días relajantes.

Concepción, un poco más al norte, fue el lugar que elegimos finalmente para descansar y pasar la noche. Al día siguiente decidimos ir a conocer El Palmar, una increíble reserva de flora y fauna a la que llegamos en auto. Poco a poco, la imagen del campo en el espejo retrovisor se fue volviendo difusa, el palmar lo invadía todo: son 8.200 hectáreas donde se pueden avistar aves, animales autóctonos y cientos de palmeras yatay.

Desaceleramos la marcha, el paisaje merecía desprenderse del sonido del motor. Nos regalamos la maravilla de caminar el parque, expectantes y a la espera de cruzarnos con algún animal más curioso que nosotros. De repente, un grupo numeroso de carpinchos cruzó la calle tranquilamente, nuestra presencia no parecía asustarlos, tampoco a las aves que sobrevolaban cerca de nuestras cabezas.

La travesía continuó por caminos de tierra serpenteantes que nos sumergieron en un ambiente cada vez más selvático. Atrás había quedado el ruido, el puente entre aquel mundo y este paraíso.

El atardecer nos sorprendió con un sol naranja vibrante que asomaba entre la vegetación. La memoria de la cámara se llenó de imágenes en un intento de detener ese espectáculo por siempre.

En medio de la naturaleza, esperamos la noche en el camping. Poco a poco, la oscuridad se fue desplegando como una dama de vestido negro que lo cubrió todo, mientras que las estrellas se encendieron una a una como pequeñas lámparas en el cielo.

Al otro día desandamos el camino. La ruta nos devolvió de nuestra escapada salvaje a la gran ciudad, con sabor a aventura en los labios. Nos llevamos una mochila de experiencias nuevas e infinitas ganas de volver a cruzar ese puente que separa el gris del asfalto, del intenso y autóctono verde.

Bridges, those raised, flying and poetic paths that connect two shores, two plans. Our getaway began by going through the immense and impressive concrete structure that unites Buenos Aires with the province of Entre Ríos: the Bridge Zárate Brazo largo.

On one side, the hectic city and on the other, an immense green of sown fields. A wide range of warm colors on the wavy surfaces invite to relax and make the trip fun. The route is in perfect conditions and the way took us to visit many towns and cities, such as Gualeguaychú- famous for its carnivals- which is just 200 km away and has thermal springs to spend some relaxing days.

Concepción, a little bit in the north, was the place we finally chose to rest and spend the night.

On the next day we decided to know El Palmar, an incredible reserve of flora and fauna to which we reached by car. Little by little, the picture of the field in the rear view mirror became blurred, the palm trees invaded it all: it is an 8,200- hectare (= 20262,62 acres) area where you can watch birds, animals and hundreds of yatay palm trees.

We slowed down, the landscape deserved to get rid of the engine noise. We gave ourselves the wonder of walking anxiously around the park, waiting to come across an animal more curious than us. Suddenly, a big number of capybaras crossed the street peacefully. Our presence there seemed to scare neither them nor the birds that were flying over our heads.

The journey went on along twisting dirt roads that took us to a jungle environment. The noise was left behind, the bridge between that world and this paradise.

The dusk surprised us with a vibrant orange sun that showed up among the vegetation. The memory card of the camera got crowded with photos attempting to keep that spectacle forever.

In the middle of nature, we await the night at the campsite. Little by little, darkness started spreading like a lady in a black dress that covered it all, while the stars got on one by one like little lamps in the sky.

The next day we retraced the way. The route returned us again to the big city from our wild getaway, with such an adventure taste in our mouths.

We took a bag pack full of new experiences and an endless desire to cross again that bridge that separates the grey pavement from the intense and native green.

LA CIUDAD DE LA ETERNA PRIMAVERA Situada en un valle circundante de altiplanos y montañas, la capital de Antioquia cautiva al turista con sus agradables temperaturas, que rondan los 24 °C durante todo el año. La calidez de su pueblo bien predispone a descubrir una ciudad innovadora, que supo recomponer la paz a través de la memoria.

Pablo Escobar, el narcotraficante fundador de la organización criminal conocida como el “Cartel de Medellín”, tiñó la zona con negras historias de violencia y mafia.

Las comunas más vulnerables, ubicadas en la periferia de esta urbe, fueron escenario de muchos episodios de delincuencia; pero desde hace un tiempo, las políticas implementadas para alcanzar la paz en el lugar mejoraron la accesibilidad y movilidad de la sociedad, como el metrocable, que permite a los habitantes de las zonas más pobres llegar al centro cívico para trabajar y estudiar.

Hoy en día, las comunas supieron narrar sobre los días de guerrilla y conflicto armado en sus muros, a través de expresivos murales. El graffiti tour de la comuna 13 es un recorrido característico que cuenta las historias de dolor a través de expresiones artísticas que emocionan. Uno de los muros emblemáticos está representado por una manada de elefantes blancos como símbolo de la memoria y la paz.

El recorrido de la línea K del metrocable atraviesa distintos escenarios: a medida que avanza, va dejando atrás los paisajes del mundo citadino para abrirse paso entre verdes postales naturales. Haciendo combinación con la línea L, se llega al Parque Regional Ecoturístico Arvi, un lugar ideal para descubrirlo a pie o en bicicleta.

P O P A Y BLANCA Á N Y RADIANTE

Partiendo de Medellín en un vuelo interno que hace escala en Bogotá se llega a la capital del Cauca: Popayán, un reducto de belleza colonial y patrimonio histórico cultural que, además, forma parte de la Red de Ciudades Creativas de la UNESCO en el campo de la Gastronomía.

Las blancas fachadas con balcones invitan a practicar el “balconeo” y, desde la altura, observar cómo durante los días de semana las estrechas calles se atiborran de personas que pasan por alguna diligencia o que transitan con carros vendiendo frutas frescas, jugos, arepas y otros manjares típicos.

Centro religioso de gran importancia, Popayán cuenta con 10 templos construidos entre los siglos XVII y XVIII, 7 museos y el Parque Nacional Natural Munchique, un increíble ecosistema ideal para el avistaje de aves. Una de las festividades más importantes son las procesiones de Semana Santa que se realizan ininterrumpidamente desde el siglo XVI.

Pablo Escobar, the founder drug lord of the criminal organization known as “Medellín cartel” dyed the area with black stories about violence and mafia. The most vulnerable communes, placed on the outskirts of this metropolis, were the stage of many episodes related to crimes; however, for some time, the policies implemented to get peace in the area improved the accessibility and mobility of the society, such us the metrocable, which allows the inhabitants of the poorest zones to reach the civic center to work and study. Today, the communes have managed to narrate about the days of guerrilla and armed conflict in their big walls through expressive murals.

The graffiti tour of the commune 13 is a typical journey that

tells stories about pain through artistic expressions that move anyone. One of the emblematic murals is depicted by a herd of white elephants as a symbol of memory and peace.

The journey of the metrocable´s line K goes through different scenarios: as it advances, it leaves the landscapes of the urban world behind to go among green natural postcards. Combining with line L, you reach the Arvi Ecotourtist Regional Park, an ideal place to tour around on foot or by bike.

White and splendid Leaving from Medellín in a domestic flight that has a stopover in Bogotá, you arrive in the capital of Cauca: Popayán, a stronghold of colonial beauty and historic and cultural patrimony that, besides, forms part of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in the Gastronomy field.

From the top, the white façades with balconies invite to observe how the narrow lanes are crowded with people that pass by or walk with carts selling fresh fruits, juices, corn cakes and some other typical delicacies during the weekdays.

Popayán, which is an important religious center, has 10 temples built between the 17 and 18 centuries, 7 museums and the Munchique Natural National Park, an incredible ecosystem ideal for bird watching. One of the most significant festivals is the Holy Week pilgrimage that has taken place uninterruptedly from the 16 century on.

Durante el invierno, los esquiadores más exigentes tendrán la posibilidad de acceder a lugares de nieve sin explorar, trasladados en helicópteros que parten de Bariloche hacia Foyel, a 15 minutos de vuelo al sur de esa ciudad rionegrina.

Acompañados por un piloto y un guía de montaña experto, cada grupo de hasta 5 personas por nave tiene la posibilidad de realizar hasta 12 bajadas diarias en una nieve de calidad suprema.

En todos los casos, el grupo es quien marca la experiencia: hay bajadas para esquiadores expertos, como así también bajadas más simples, con menos pendientes, para familias con niños que contratan el servicio, por ejemplo.

También ellos deciden dónde descansarán y realizarán el almuerzo: podrán disfrutar de un asado al asador en el casco de una estancia que se usa de lodge, para completar una vivencia bien autóctona, o bien compartir un picnic en medio de la montaña si la intención es aprovechar al máximo el tiempo para esquiar.

Christian Tienda, presidente de Helice, asegura que el diferencial es la cantidad de tiempo de ski que permite el traslado y la subida al cerro en helicóptero después de cada bajada, así como la calidad de la nieve: “El esquiador experto es un buscador obsesivo de la nieve honda, de lugares que no sean pisados. Acá hay un colchón de nieve de un metro, un metro y medio, que permite un ski mucho más suave, como si estuvieses flotando. Es un tipo de nieve que es muy difícil de encontrar en un centro de ski”.

Las primeras nevadas en estos cerros empiezan a caer en junio y terminan en octubre. “La temporada se extiende mucho más, porque vamos a lugares más frescos. De acuerdo a la ubicación del sol, se van eligiendo las bajadas de manera tal que el esquiador esté esquiando todo el día con la mejor calidad de nieve posible en Argentina; se buscan las caras de la montaña que miran hacia el sur, que son las que reciben sombra”, cuenta Tienda.

Accompanied by a pilot and an expert mountain guide, each group of up to 5 people per helicopter has the possibility of doing up to 12 daily downhills in a supreme quality snow.

In every case, the group is the one who marks the experience: there are downhills for advanced skiers, as well as simpler downhills, for families with kids that hire the service.

They can also choose where to rest and have lunch: they can enjoy a barbecue at a ranch house to experience a native moment, or share a picnic in the middle of the mountain if the intention is to fully take advantage of the time to ski.

Christian Tienda, Chairman of Helice, assures that what makes a real difference is the quantity of skiing time that the helicopter saves by going uphill after each downhill, as well as the quality of snow: “The expert skier is an obsessive seeker of deep snow, of untouched places. Here, there is a mattress of one- meter, onemeter -and- a half snow, which allows a much more lighter skiing, as if you were floating. It is a very difficult kind of snow to find in a snowing center” The first snowfalls in these hills start in June and end in October. “The season extends much more because we go to fresher places. According to the sun position, the downhills are chosen so that the skiers can ski the whole day with the best snow in Argentina; we look for the mountains sides facing south, which are the ones that get shade”, Tienda tells us.

De un tiempo a esta parte, la innumerable y frenética oferta de cervecerías artesanales y bares varios ha desatado una suerte de pulsión inevitable tanto en mí como en mi marido y compañero de andanzas. Las características guirnaldas de luces que decoran generalmente las puertas de estos lugares son como un destello hipnótico que siempre nos obliga a entrar.

En una de esas relajadas vueltas que solemos dar en busca de gustos y experiencias nuevas a nuestros paladares, nos llamó la atención un lugar ubicado en una esquina chiquita pero muy vistosa. A diferencia de otras en la zona, nos sorprendió el cartel luminoso que destacaba, con mucha presunción, el nombre del lugar: Fu-King Bar. Con una estética claramente distinta al resto, este bar combina el estilo de una cervecería actual con una singular cantina asiática. La luz tenue de neón continúa al interior como una especie de extensión de aquel cartel en la entrada.

En una gran heladera que también funciona como mostrador exhiben una variedad de bebidas y el tradicional sake japonés, también conocido como vino de arroz.

Nos ubicaron en una barra cerca de la cocina abierta y, como buena mujer curiosa, me encargué de no dejar detalle sin inspeccionar: allí dentro, tres cocineros preparaban variados platos. A su alrededor, montones de frascos transparentes con especias, dispuestos en orden y a la altura ideal para disponer de ellos con facilidad.

En el salón principal, barriles pintados oficiaban de mesas, rodeados de sillas de estilo industrial, no muy cómodas pero perfectas para el lugar.

For some time now, the endless and frenetic offer of hand-crafted beers and many bars have triggered some kind of unavoidable impulse not only in me but also in my husband and adventure mate. The typical lighted garlands that generally decorate the doors of these places are like a hypnotic sparkle that always makes us go in.

In one of those relaxing rides that we usually take in search of new tastes and experiences for our palates, a place located on a small but attractive corner called our attention. Unlike other ones in the zone, we got shocked by the luminous sign which arrogantly remarked the name of the place: Fu-King Bar. With a clearly different appearance, this bar combines the style of a modern beer shop with a singular Asian bar. The dim neon light continues in the interior as if it was some kind of extension of that entrance sign. They display a wide range of beverages and the traditional Japanese sake, also known as rice wine, in a big refrigerator that serves as a counter as well.

We were placed at a bar near the open kitchen, and being such a curious woman, I intended to inspect every detail: in there, three cooks were preparing varied dishes. There were many transparent jars containing species carefully arranged and at hand to use them easily.

In the main hall, painted barrels served as tables, surrounded by industrial accent chairs, which, by the way, weren´t very comfortable but fitted perfectly.

Loyal to my taste and style, I opted for the half pint Honey draught beer, my favorite one. We started with some spring rolls filled with pork and prawn nicely plated up in a Palermo style.

ta Honey tirada, mi preferida. Comenzamos con unos spring rolls rellenos de cerdo y langostinos emplatados en una simpática vajilla de losa al estilo palermitano. Continuamos con un plato que activó no sólo el paladar sino también nuestra vista: “Ebi No Somen”, langostinos dentro de un fajo de fideos de arroz frito atados con alga nori, un deleite para saciar mi búsqueda constante de lo distinto.

El lugar es relativamente nuevo, la atención de los mozos es rápida y amable y, como plus, ofrece música en vivo a cargo de un DJ que, con sus auriculares a medio calzar, provoca que los pies de los comensales no pierdan el ritmo entre bocado y bocado.

La pregunta es... ¿volveríamos? ¡Por supuesto que sí! Es una excelente opción para agregar a la lista, puede funcionar como un after work o una juntada de amigos informal, diferente y muy divertida.
