En estas páginas les proponemos un viaje a Catamarca, y no sólo para conocer los paisajes imponentes de la Cuesta del Portezuelo y El Rodeo por ejemplo, sino también para ahondar sobre las tradiciones y la calidez de su gente en un momento de plena fe: las Fiestas en Honor a la Inmaculada Virgen del Valle. El viaje nos lleva luego a Santa Fe, en una visita por los preciados rincones que conforman el corredor turístico costero. Throughout these pages, we propose a trip to Catamarca; not only to know the breathtaking landscapes of Cuesta del Portezuelo and El Rodeo, but also to go deeper in the traditions and its people´s warmth in a moment of complete faith: The Festivals in honor of the Immaculate Virgin of the Valley.

If in doubt, the zamba «Paisaje de Catamarca», popularized by Los Chalchaleros, gets a new meaning after traveling around the lands of Catamarca.

PUEBLO DE FE, TRABAJO Y TRADICIÓN Una acuarela de verdes pinta el paisaje catamarqueño. Religión, cultura y naturaleza se conjugan en un recorrido por San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca y Ambato.

A rribamos a Catamarca pasadas las

13:30hs, en la víspera de las Fiestas en Honor a la Inmaculada Virgen del Valle el 8 de diciembre. Un sol imponente nos dio la bienvenida. Antes de descender del avión, llamó nuestra atención el viento circundante. «La provincia está entre dos cordones montañosos, por eso es tan ventoso», comenta nuestra compañera de asiento.

Dejamos la valija en el hotel y luego de almorzar comenzamos el recorrido. En el casco histórico se conjugan lo antiguo y lo moderno.

Nuestra primera parada fue en la Plaza 25 de Mayo, frente a la cual se pueden apreciar la Casa de Gobierno y la imponente Catedral Basílica Nuestra Señora del Valle.

El diseño de la plaza se caracteriza por la sucesión de desniveles en la estructura. En el centro de la misma se puede apreciar una estatua del Gral. José de San Martín, colocada en 1915.

Asombra ver la enorme cantidad de peregrinos que se disponen en la plaza a esperar la llegada del 8 de diciembre, día de la Virgen.

Catamarca: Un pueblo de fe «Esperanza, paz, sinceridad. Eso es la Virgen para nosotros», relata el padre Mario Molas al recibirnos en la Catedral Basílica.

«Las fiestas de diciembre son las más populares», agrega.

país, fundamentalmente de Tucumán, Santiago del Estero y Córdoba.

Conmueve ver cómo cada uno de ellos se acerca a la imagen de la Virgen del Valle. «Es lo mejor que tiene Catamarca», expresan dos adolescentes al salir de la catedral.

Lágrimas de emoción entremezclada con cansancio se perciben en Juan Carlos, un joven de 25 años acompañado de su madre y su padre, al contemplar la virgen. Caminaron durante seis días para llegar desde Santiago del Estero. «Hace seis años que vengo. Al conocer a la Madre cualquier mochila es más liviana», asegura con la voz quebrada.

Dique El Jumeal: Lugar de esparcimiento El viaje nos llevó a escasos 4 kilómetros del centro de la ciudad. El Jumeal es un pequeño espejo de agua ubicado al pie de la Sierra Colorada, en los faldeos del Ambato. Este embalse se alimenta del Río El Tala y fue construido como reserva en 1942. Su nombre proviene de «jume», planta parecida al junco.

Es ideal para hacer caminatas o andar en bicicletas.

Durante el paseo se aprecia la flora autóctona, en la que predominan los lapachos y jacarandas floridos en

primavera, y en la montaña, los cactus.

El camino a El Jumeal transcurre por una altura superior a 700 m.s.n.m. Los paradores que miran hacia la ciudad o hacia la cascada que alimenta al dique constituyen verdaderos balcones para el disfrute del paisaje montañoso y verde, y de la ciudad a pleno.

Cuesta del Portezuelo: Panorama de ensueño «Desde la Cuesta del Portezuelo mirando abajo parece un sueño: un pueblito acá, otro más allá y un camino largo que baja y se pierde», dice la zamba «Paisaje de Catamarca», del autor Polo Giménez y que inmortalizaron Los Chalc haleros. Parados en la cuestecilla a 600 m.s.n.m., comprobamos que la descripción es totalmente acertada: la vista desde el lugar es asombrosa, la paz reinante cautiva. El verde imperante parece abarcar todos los tonos posibles.

Rumbo al mirador, a 1000 m.s.n.m., el camino sinuoso bordea la vegetación característica de la zona, entre las que se distinguen palo borracho, jarilla, algarrobo, tusca, cebil y quebracho.

Al llegar, las palabras sobran, sólo queda lugar para la contemplación y el silencio. Un cóndor sobrevolando la zona nos recibe como buen anfitrión.

El Rodeo: Verde supremo Al día siguiente, la travesía continúa hacia El Rodeo, ubicado en el Departamento de Ambato, al pie de las sierras de Ambato, a 1.250 m.s.n.m. y a sólo 35 km de la capital provincial.

Es una importante villa turística. Por su microclima fresco y agradable en verano, su proximidad a la ciudad de San Fer nando del Valle de Catamarca y el paisaje imperante atrae a enorme cantidad de turistas.

Todas con nombres de flores, las angostas calles se contraponen con la inmensidad serrana reinante. Desde cada punto donde uno se pare se pueden apreciar imponentes vistas panorámicas. Se realizan, además, numerosos paseos por los alrededores y excursiones a caballo a los pintorescos rincones serranos de las cercanías. Otras actividades posibles son pesca, cabalgatas, baños en arroyos y piletas, y festivales folclóricos nocturnos en enero y febrero.

Tejidos del Norte La última parada fue en la Fábrica de Alfombras, todo un símbolo de Catamarca que rescata un antiquísimo patrimonio textil y cultural que se transmite de generación en generación. Dependiente de la Dirección de Artesanías, fue creada originalmente en la ciudad de Andalgalá y se trasladó a la capital provincial en 1954, donde funciona como «fábrica escuela».

Mabel Córdoba, la encargada del lugar, nos recibe amablemente y nos cuenta que «aquí se tejen alfombras y tapices que han trascendido las fronteras, compitiendo a nivel internacional con la calidad de las alfombras persas». Y agrega: «Las tejedoras experimentadas van enseñando a las nuevas la labor».

Una visita guiada dentro de la fábrica permite ver a las trabajadoras en plena acción, elaborando sus tejidos en grandes telares, seleccionando y ovillando las más preciadas lanas provenientes de la localidad de Santa María con las que trazan, con increíble destreza, motivos típicamente norteños y florales.

Mabel sonríe y lanza una única verdad ineludible: «Para mí, tejer es un placer. Estamos en todas partes del mundo. Nos sentimos orgullosos de lo que hacemos, como catamarqueños, como argentinos»

A TOWN OF FAITH, WORK AND TRADITION A watercolor of greens paints the landscape of Catamarca. Religion, culture and nature combine with a journey around San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca and Ambato.

e arrived in Catamarca at about 1.30 p.m., on the Eve of the Immaculate Virgin of the Valley Festival, on the last December 8th. A shining sun welcomed us. Before getting off the plane, the surrounding wind called our attention. «The province is between two mountainous chains, that is the reason why it is so windy», our travelling companion commented. We left the luggage at the hotel and after having lunch we set off. The historic quarter combines the old and modern.

Our first stop was at 25 de Mayo Square, which is situated opposite the Government House and the impressive Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of the Valley.

The square design is characterized by the multilevel structure. You can observe a statue of the General José de San Martín in its center, placed in 1915. It is really amazing to see the enormous quantity of pilgrims at the square waiting for the arrival of the 8th of December, the Virgin´s Day.

Catamarca: A town of faith «Hope, peace, sincerity. This means the Virgin for us», Father Mario Molas told us when entering the Cathedral Basilica. «The festivals in December are the most popular ones», he added. Believers from different parts of the country start arriving many days before the great festival, but they arrive principally from Tucumán, Santiago del Estero and Córdoba.

You get moved to see how each one of them approaches the Virgin. «This is the best here in Catamarca», two teenagers say when leaving the Cathedral.

Tears of emotion mixed up with tiredness can be seen in Juan Carlos, a young man aged 25 accompanied by his mother and father, when contemplating the Virgin. They walked for six days to arrive there from Santiago del Estero. «I´ve come here for six years. Any bag pack is lighter when meeting the Mother», he assures with broken voice.

Dike El Jumeal: Leisure place The journey took us just 4 kilometers away from the city center. El Jumeal is a little water mirror located at the foot of Sierra Colorada, on the slopes of Ambato. This reservoir feeds from El Tala River and was built as a reserve in 1942. Its name comes from «jume», a plant similar to the reed.

It is ideal for trekking or riding bikes.

During the journey, you can appreciate the native flora, where lapacho and jacaranda covered with flowers abound in spring, and cactuses abound in the mountain.

The way towards El Jumeal took place at an altitude higher than 700 meters above sea level. The paradors overlooking the city or the waterfall that feeds the dike make up real balconies for the enjoyment of the mountainous and green landscape and the city.

goes down and gets lost» says the zamba «Paisaje de Catamarca», by Polo Gimenez; song immortalized by Los Chalchaleros.

Standing up on the slope, 600 meters above sea level, we proved that the previous description is absolutely right: the view from the place is amazing and the peace is captivating. The reigning green seems to cover every possible tone.

Going to the viewpoint, 1000 meters above sea level, the sinuous way borders the typical vegetation of the zone, among which you can find drunken trees, jarilla, locust, Tuscan cypress, cebil and quebracho. At the time of arriving, words are unnecessary; there is only room for contemplation and silence. A condor overflying the area welcomes us such as a good host.

El Rodeo: Supreme green The next day, the journey goes on towards El Rodeo, placed in the Department of Ambato, at the foot of the hills of Ambato, 1250 meters above sea level and just 35 kilometers away from the province capital.

It is an important tourist villa. Thanks to its fresh and nice summer microclimate, its proximity to the city of San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca and the amazing landscape, it attracts an enormous number of tourists.

The narrow lanes, whose names are flower ones, set against the prevailing highland immensity. From whichever point one stands up, impressive panoramic views can be appreciated. Besides, many journeys and horseback riding excursions to the picturesque hill corners can be taken. Other possible activities are fishing, horseback riding, baths in swimming pools and streams and night folk festivals in January and February.

Knittings from the North The last stop was at the Carpet Factory, a symbol of Catamarca that rescues a very old cultural and textile patrimony passed on from generation to generation.

Originally, it was created in the city of Andalgalá and was transferred to the

provincial capital in 1954, where it works as a factory-school.

Mabel Córdoba, the manager of the place, welcomes us politely and tells us that «carpets and tapestries are knitted here; they have gone beyond borders by competing internationally with the quality of the Persian carpets» and she adds «experienced weavers teach the task to the inexperienced ones». A guided visit inside the factory lets us see the workers fully working, knitting in big looms, selecting and winding the most precious wool coming from the district of Santa María. They skillfully draw typical northern designs or flower motif.

Mabel smiles and tells us the only unavoidable truth: «Knitting is a pleasure to me. We are all around the world. We feel proud of what we make, being from Catamarca, being from Argentina»

lic, clic, clic y ¡a viajar! Simple, rápido y económico son las tres premisas que rigen las transacciones realizadas en agencias de viaje online, páginas de compras colectivas y de clasificados. La tendencia a adquirir productos y servicios a través de la web viene creciendo cada año. En el país, el comercio electrónico cerró el 2013 con un alza del 48,5%, alcanzando ventas por $24.800 millones, de los cuales, $6.600 millones fueron para «Pasajes y turismo», la categoría con mayor participación, según datos de la Cámara Argentina de Comercio Electrónico (CACE).

«La categoría Servicios- Viajes y Turismo en MercadoLibre Clasificados registró en 2013 un incremento en la oferta de más de un 22% con respecto al año anterior», confirma Jonathan Szwarcman, Gerente de Clasificados en MercadoLibre. De acuerdo al directivo, la oferta dentro de esta sección es variada, desde paquetes turísticos hasta alquiler de autos, a fin de brindar un servicio completo en un mismo lugar y facilitar de esta forma la tarea de los usuarios.

La búsqueda de promociones y descuentos es superior en América Latina que a nivel global, con 61% y 59%, respectivamente.

Durante las temporadas de vacaciones de invierno (inclusive agosto) y verano, se refuerza la oferta publicando servicios de días de campo y de spa, así como también alquileres por fines de semana», señala Szwarcman. Otros momentos en los que hay muy buenas propuestas es durante las fechas de descuentos especiales, como el CiberMonday, un período de tan sólo algunos días en los que los precios bajan considerablemente, en una modalidad copiada de los Estados Unidos. En aquél país, comienza el lunes siguiente al BlackFriday (el primer viernes después de Acción de Gracias) y como inicio de las compras navideñas, mientras que en la Argentina tiene lugar entre fines de noviembre y principios de diciembre. En ambos casos, el objetivo de las empresas es el mismo: tentar a los consumidores con importantes descuentos a través de su canal de compra online.

El tercer tip es sobre la seguridad. Al igual que en los comercios físicos, en las compras digitales podemos encontrarnos con estafadores no autorizados para la venta turística. «La recomendación principal antes de contratar es asegurarse que la agencia esté inscripta ante el Ministerio de Turismo y confirmar que el valor publicado sea el final, para evitar la frustración o una 16 | Cambio de Aire

El cuarto tip está relacionado con las formas de abonar. Los medios de pago suelen mediante tarjeta de crédito y débito, o en efectivo con la impresión de un volante de pago. Uno de los motivos de la consolidación del comercio electrónico destacados por la CACE es el incremento de la confianza de los usuarios en la seguridad de compra. Cuando el pago se realiza, el consumidor recibe de manera inmediata una confirmación a su casilla de correo con un número de operación, lo que aporta seguridad y transparencia.

Las cuponeras y agencias permiten encontrar grandes descuentos en alojamiento, paquetes turísticos, excursiones y pasajes muy tentadores, pero que a veces generan dudas sobre cuál será el más adecuado. Algunos sitios disponen de líneas telefónicas para que un asesor de viajes nos ayude en el proceso de compra.

En caso de contar con este servicio, webs de viajes como TripAdvisor y Foursquare, proporcionan consejos de viajeros reales que ayudan a resolver el quinto y último tip: chequear la experiencia que otros turistas tuvieron en su viaje.

2. Informarse sobre las ofertas y comparar precios.

3. Asegurarse ante el Ministerio de Turismo que la agencia de viajes está autorizada para vender paquetes turísticos.

4. Revisar las formas de pago disponibles.

5. Chequear los comentarios que otros viajeros hicieron sobre el producto o servicio.

Click, click, click and …let´s travel! Simple, quick and cheap are the three premises that rule the transactions performed online in travel agencies, joint purchasing pages and classifieds. The tendency to buy products and services through the web is growing each passing year. In Argentina, the ecommerce finished in 2013 with a 48.5% rise, reaching sales of $24,800 million, from which $6,600 were spent on «tickets and tourism», the category with the most participation, according to the data provided by the Argentine Chamber of Electronic Commerce.

TRIKE: SURCANDO CIELOS RIOJANOS

añana despejada con un cielo infinitamente celeste. En la tablet, las noticias sobre la condición del tiempo indican una temperatura de 33 °C. Otro día veraniego en donde el calor se hará sentir en la capital de La Rioja, situada en el noroeste argentino a unos 1.167 kilómetros de la provincia de Buenos Aires.

Protector solar, gorra y anteojos de sol se suman a la mochila viajera antes de abandonar el cuarto de hotel y emprender nuestro itinerario de aventura: un vuelo en trike para conocer la tierra de caudillos desde las alturas.

Tips Tours en la Capital Riojana Al circuito de aventura se le suman numerosas ofertas turísticas para conocer en la capital riojana, entre ellas el Cerro de La Cruz, la Quebrada de los Sauces, la Iglesia y Ruinas de las Padercitas y el Golf Club La Rioja.

La Ruta del Vuelo La ruta del vuelo es un producto turístico que caracteriza a La Rioja. Son varios días de aventura y adrenalina a pleno en el que se recorre la provincia desde el aire. El circuito ofrece conocer los paisajes riojanos desde las alturas, con despegues en parapente y aladelta desde imponentes cerros. Para realizar este tour es necesario tener experiencia previa sobre aladelta o parapente.

El turno de abordar la nave no se hizo esperar y en menos de lo pensado, el experto piloto Hugo Ávila nos puso en vuelo. Durante el ascenso, el árido terreno se convirtió en un colorido paisaje surcado por los pasos asfaltados y grupos de edificaciones que daban cuenta de la ubicación de la ciudad.

Rodeado de una tibia brisa dispuesta a alborotar cabellos, y unas vistas imponentes del trazado de las sierras de Velasco, las ansias por avistar un cóndor, animal característico de la fauna andino-patagónica de la región, mantenía la alerta constante. Hasta que la sabia recomendación del piloto nos anima a descubrir la libertad de volar, con los brazos extendidos. El inigualable paisaje del cordón serrano bañado por la luz de la mañana reveló una variedad de tonalidades del verde, ocre y colorado.

Tierra de Caudillos La provincia de La Rioja es conocida como la «tierra de caudillos» por ser madre de jefes defensores de sus ideales federales en tiempos de la guerra por la organización nacional. Having arrived at the city car track, we wait for our turn while we watch an adventurous couple who is going to start their baptism flight in a non-commercial aircraft. Although the anxiety of the beginners is evident, they admitted that this will be the previous step to an excursion on paragliding in a track located 1,550 meters above sea level in the district of Famatina, in the hill called Cuesta Vieja, approximately 232 kilometers from our location.

The geo-climatic conditions of the province transform it into one of the ideal national destinations for the ski conquest. The Andean Mountains act as an atmospheric barrier by providing the region with mountain semi-desert features, low humidity and many sunny days. Paragliding, hang gliding and trike are some of the aerial activities regularly undertaken by experts of different latitudes of the planet as well as by tourists who decide to start the adventure of flying.

The time to go onboard arrived quickly and the pilot Hugo Ávila started flying. During the ascent, the dry land became a colorful landscape ploughed by pavement and buildings that made us realize the city location.

Surrounded by a warm breeze willing to disarrange the hair and some breathtaking views of the Velasco hills, the wish to see a condor –typical animal of the Andean and Patagonic fauna- kept us constantly alert. The pilot encouraged us to discover the freedom with the arms wide open. The unique landscape of the highland cord covered with morning light revealed a variety of green, ochre and red shadows.

uzios tiene un atractivo único y encantador. Será por sus playas bellas, por su pueblo de pescadores, por la característica postal que dibujan los botes anclados en sus costas.

En diálogo con Cambio de Aire, el secretario de Turismo de la ciudad, José Márcio Moreira dos Santos, asegura que «hay una pasión muy grande por Buzios; los argentinos y los turistas en general quedan encantados por las bellezas naturales, por las playas, por la gastronomía y por su infraestructura. Es un amor a primera vista».

Visitar Buzios implica mucho más que arribar al lugar. Hay que dejarse seducir por su cultura, penetrar en la vida de quienes habitan la zona, dejarse empapar por el mar pero también por la magia de una ciudad que vive principalmente del turismo.

Season, all year round The exceptional weather of the Atlantic peninsula makes Buzios an ideal place to visit during the whole year. The temperature is always nice, with so many annual sunny days and waters of 20 ºC (68 ºF). Although the high season is during the summer months (between December and March) when the heat is the strongest, any season is good to enjoy the beach and the beauties of the place.

How to arrive Aerolíneas Argentinas has incorporated flights to the city of Cabo Frío recently, only 24 kilometers away from Buzios. AL ESCENARIO ES COMO ENCONTRARSE CON UN ENAMORADO»

legó a Buenos Aires a los veinticuatro años, cuando dejó su ciudad natal, Mendoza, con el objetivo de conseguir un trabajo como actriz. Estudió danza, canto y actuación con grandes maestros como Lito Cruz, Augusto Fernándes, Luis Agustoni y Agustín Alezzo. En el año 1981 debutó en teatro y televisión, pero fue en 1995 que alcanzó mayor popularidad gracias a su papel protagónico en la recordada novela «Dulce Ana», emitida por el viejo Canal 9.

Dueña de un carisma y una versatilidad únicos, Patricia Palmer disfruta de su madurez personal y profesional.

Además de ser actriz, guionista, dramaturga y directora, tiene su propia sala de teatro independiente llamada «El taller del ángel», en la que brinda clases de formación actoral desde el año 1984.

Tras vivir la vorágine del éxito televisivo en muchas oportunidades, hoy asegura que ama la TV pero que no quiere vivir para ella, sino disfrutarla. Volvió a la pantalla chica como la madre de Joaquín Furriel en «Señores Papis», la tira que triunfa en Telefé, y logró un papel magnífico en la obra «Juana la loca», escrita y dirigida por Pepe Cibrián Campoy, sobre la vida de una de las mujeres más famosas de la historia. En una entrevista con Cambio de Aire, la artista mendocina habla sobre sus vivencias, su trabajo y su futuro.

- ¿Cómo fueron sus inicios en la actuación?

- Siempre quise ser actriz y desde muy chiquita empecé a estudiar y a actuar, en Mendoza. Después ingresé al conservatorio de arte y me vine a Buenos Aires en 1981. Hice varios castings y pruebas, hasta que llegó mi primer trabajo, de una manera muy cu32

Bella y simpática, Patricia Palmer está viviendo uno de los momentos más intensos de su carrera. Después de una ardua experiencia teatral, sorprendió con su unipersonal en la piel de Juana, «la loca», donde también interpreta a varios personajes a la vez. Además, volvió a la televisión de la mano de «Señores Papis», la nueva tira de Telefé.

riosa. Yo estaba en ATC, canal 7, esperando que me atiendan, vino un señor y preguntó: ¿Quién calza 38?, y yo respondí: ¡Yo! Entonces me ofreció hacer un reemplazo, por un solo día, de Susú Pecoraro, que en ese momento ya era muy conocida. Así fue mi primer trabajo en teatro, como la Cenicienta, sólo porque me iban sus botas, me dieron el papel (risas). Eso fue muy importante porque al año siguiente me llamaron para hacer el papel de ella. En televisión, debuté en «Los especiales de ATC», dirigida por Alejandro Doria, quien me bautizó Palmer, porque mi apellido real es Palmada.

- Teniendo en cuenta que es una artista muy completa, ¿Qué disfruta más?

- Es muy difícil elegir porque me gusta todo. Fui muchos años bailarina y lo disfruté, pero la danza conlleva un gran sacrificio físico. Aunque actuar es lo esencial en mí, cantar me gusta mucho, es algo que no quiero dejar de hacer. Tengo mi banda y nos juntamos todas las semanas a tocar. También me gusta mucho escribir y enseñar en mi escuela. Soy muy afortunada porque todo lo que hago me da placer. Hay algo que no sabe mucha gente: soy psicóloga y ejerzo un poco, porque me apasiona el estudio de la conducta humana, es otra de mis pasiones.

- ¿Cómo fue hacer una obra tan intensa como el unipersonal «Jua-

na, la loca»?

- Fue un trabajo muy apasionante, me metí en la historia de Juana y tuve que investigar al detalle su vida. Uno tiene que saber todo sobre el personaje que va a interpretar: cuál es su entorno, sus vivencias. En Juana encontré a una persona impresionante, una mujer luchadora contra un sistema muy retrógrado, que por ese motivo fue encerrada durante cuarenta y seis años en una torre, y no la mataron porque era Reina. La historia de ella es tremenda, es apasionante y trágica a la vez.

Yo creo que el actor debe meterse en el mundo del personaje, y para poder interpretar a Juana y a las personas que la rodeaban, tuve que leer muchísimo.

los pasillos del castillo y de la torre, sentía los ruidos de las cadenas y las puertas de hierro. Creo que es necesario zambullirse en ese mundo, me metí en la piel de cada uno de los personajes que tuve que interpretar. Eso es lo más apasionante, el proceso creativo, porque es lo único que me coloca en la posibilidad de entender a esas personas, compadecerlas y amarlas, sino no podría recrearlas.

- ¿Qué siente cuando sube a un escenario?

- Felicidad y adrenalina absolutas. Es como encontrarse con un enamorado, es como la primera cita o el primer sexo. El corazón te late a mil, hay un poco de miedo y mucho amor, mucha pasión. Ese miedo y ese riesgo hacen que uno sienta la sensación de un salto al vacío, una adrenalina única.

- ¿Cómo vive su regreso a la televisión en «Señores Papis»?

- Con felicidad, porque la televisión es un género que me divierte y, además, me da la posibilidad económica de seguir haciendo el resto de las cosas que hago. Feliz porque es un éxito y tengo un grupo de

trabajo increíble. Me mimaron y me dieron lo que yo quería, porque ya no quiero hipotecar mi vida en la televisión, ya lo hice y no tengo más ganas. Yo siempre digo que tengo varios amantes y uno de ellos es la televisión. La extrañaba, pero como es agotadora, hay que estar un poquito e irse (risas).

- ¿Qué proyectos la esperan en 2014?

- El 17 de mayo, en La Trastienda, presento un CD de música folclórica. Es un proyecto que disfruto mucho porque siempre canté para la actriz, en comedias musicales, pero hace cuatro años formé mi propia banda, con la que ya hicimos giras. Nos divierte mucho recorrer el país.

- ¿Cuáles son los objetivos pendientes en su vida?

- Yo no tengo objetivos, vivo más el día a día, aunque estoy llena de proyectos. No estoy tan pendiente de la llegada sino del tránsito, y cada vez más. No me fijo metas porque ya aprendí que uno tiene que seguir el agua acorde a cómo va el cauce. Disfruto del momento y de todas las disciplinas que me gustan. Mi único objetivo es ser feliz

She arrived in Buenos Aires at the age of twenty four, when she left her hometown, Mendoza, with the aim of getting a job as an actress. She took acting, singing and dancing classes with masters such as Lito Cruz, Augusto Fernándes, Luis Agustoni and Agustín Alezzo. In 1981, she made her debut in theater and on TV; however, it wasn´t until 1995 that she reached the highest popularity thanks to her leading role in the famous soap opera «Dulce Ana», on the old Channel 9 Owner of extraordinary versatility and charisma, Patricia Palmer enjoys her personal and professional maturity. Apart from being an actress, screenwriter, playwright and director, she has her own independent theater room called «El taller del ángel», in which she has been offering acting classes since 1984.

That was very important since the next year I was called to play her role. On television, my debut was at «Los especiales de ATC», directed by Alejandro Dolina, who named me Palmer because my real surname is Palmada.

- What were your acting beginnings like?

-I´ve always wanted to be an actress, since I was a little girl I started studying and acting in Mendoza. Later, I entered the art school and in 1981 I arrived in Buenos Aires. I went through many castings until my first job came at last, in a very curious way. I was at ATC, Channel 7, waiting to be interviewed. A man came in and asked: «who is size 38 in shoes?» and I answered «I am». He offered me a replacement for Susú Pecoraro then, just for one

- Having into account that you are a very complete artist, what do you enjoy the most?

- It´s pretty difficult to choose because I like everything. I was a dancer for many years and I enjoyed it a lot, but dancing implies a great physical sacrifice.

Although acting is essential to me, I like singing very much. I have my own band and we get together every week to play. I also like writing and teaching in my school.

know: I´m a psychologist and I work as so a little since I love the human behavior study; it´s another passion of mine.

- What was it like to interpret an intense play such as the solo performance «Joanna the mad»?

- It was a very exciting job.

When I got into the history of Joanna, I had to investigate her life in a very detailed way. One needs to know everything about the character to be interpreted: its background, experiences, etc. I found an impressive person, a woman who fought against a reactionary system, reason why she was locked in a tower for forty six years, and she was not killed because she was a Queen.

Her history is terrible, tragic and thrilling at the same time.

I strongly believe that the actor has to get into the character´s world and in order to properly interpret Joanna and the people around her, I had to read quite a lot. When I was studying her life, I felt I was walking around the castle and the tower paths, I heard the chains and the iron

gates. I think it´s necessary to immerse yourself in that world, when it comes to interpretation, I am in every character´ shoes. This is the most exciting thing, the creative process, because it is the only thing that gives me the possibility of understanding those people, loving them and sympathizing with them; otherwise, I couldn´t recreate them.

- What do you feel whenever you are on stage?

- Absolute happiness and adrenalin. It´s like meeting a lover, it´s like the first date or the first sexual encounter. Your heart beats fast, there is a bit of fear and much love and much passion. That fear and that risk make you have the sensation of a leap in the dark, a unique adrenalin.

- How are you living your return to TV with «Señores Papis»?

- With happiness because the television is a genre that amuses me and, besides, it gives me the economic possibility of keeping on doing the rest of things I do. I feel happy because it is a success and

I count on an amazing work team.

It gives me a lot of pleasure and I am glad because they allowed me to shoot for a very short time; I don´t want to mortgage my life on TV any more, I´ve done it before and I don´t feel like doing it again. I always say that I have many lovers and one of those is television. I missed it but it is exhausting, you have to work on TV for a while and then leave (laughter).

- What projects awaits you in 2014?

I am presenting a CD of folk music at La Trastienda on May 17th. This is a project that I enjoy a lot because I´ve always sung when acting in musicals; however, four years ago I started my own band, with which we have already toured. We get so much fun traveling around the country.

-What are the unfinished goals in your life?

-I don´t have goals. I live the moment, although I´ve got lots of projects. I am not on the lookout for the arrival, but the transit and more and more each passing day.

I do not set goals since I learnt that you have to follow the water according to its course. I enjoy the moment and everything I like doing. My only objective is to be happy

TERMAS DE RÍO HONDO: Gran Premio Red Bull de MOTOGP El encuentro tendrá lugar en la ciudad santiagueña los próximos 25, 26 y 27 de abril. El Autódromo provincial Termas de Río Hondo está ubicado a 6 km del centro de la ciudad en un predio de 150 hectáreas en el perilago del Dique Frontal. Sus 4.400 metros de longitud lo tornan uno de los más extensos del país, y cuenta con un aditamento especial: su recta principal, con un recorrido de 1.350 metros.

El público también podrá disfrutar de un espacio pensado para que la diversión continúe por las tardes y noches, el Red Bull MotoGP Fan Zone. El mismo estará ubicado en pleno centro de la ciudad de Termas de Río Hondo, sobre la Ruta 9 (Alberdi y Buenos Aires), muy cerca del Autódromo. El espacio, de 15.000 m2, funcionará a partir de las 20:00 horas y hasta las 4:00 horas los días viernes 25 y sábado 26 de abril. El subsecretario de Turismo de Santiago del Estero, Ricardo Sosa, agregó que «paralelamente, el Gobierno de la Provincia y la Municipalidad de Termas brindarán otros espacios de recreación donde se mostrará todo lo que tiene Santiago del Estero como identidad cultural, musical, de historia y deportes».

Termas de Río Hondo: MOTOGP RED BULL GRAND PRIX The meeting is taking place in the city of Termas de Río Hondo, province of Santiago del Estero, next April 25th, 26th and 27th. The provincial car track of Termas de Río Hondo is located 6 kilometers from the city center in a 150-hectare- field in the surroundings of the Dike Frontal. Its 4,400 meters long transform it into one of the most extensive in the country and has something especial: its main straight with a 1,350-meter journey.

The audience will also be able to enjoy a space especially thought for the amusement to continue during the afternoons and evenings: The Red Bull MotoGP Fan Zone. MENDOZA tendrá VUELOS SEMANALES a Brasil A partir del 18 de junio se implementarán vuelos directos entre Mendoza y San Pablo, Brasil, con una frecuencia semanal. AMERIAN desembarca en ENTRE RÍOS La cadena cordobesa Amerian Hoteles continúa su expansión e inaugurará un condo hotel en la ciudad turística de Gualeguaychú, siendo Entre Ríos la décimo cuarta provincia donde la cadena se emplaza. Con un monto estimado de inversión de USD 10 millones, Amerian Gualeguaychú comenzará a construirse en julio de este año. With an estimated investment of USD 10 million, Amerian Gualeguaychú will start being built in July, this year.

The hotel, strategically placed opposite the carnival parade of such city, will have 88 rooms, amenities such as convention center, restaurant, bar, spa, swimming pool, parking lots, courtesy car access, among others.
