Editor’s letter

As is tradition, we want to dedicate this edition to women, but in a sense of independence, not only in “I don’t need a man or anyone”; if not in a sense of freedom and daring, someone who dares to take risks no matter if she is wrong, a woman who dares to be who she is and shines for her authenticity In this edition, we went to Paris, where Janelle managed to capture the essence of women as unique and individual beings. I am very happy with the result of this edition. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

A big hug.

We are the OF WHICH THEY ARE NO LONGER

One of my passions is photography and last year I had the opportunity to attend to photograph the feminist march on March 8, 2020 in the city of Monterrey, Mexico. It was a day that became a spiritual experience for me. I cried, I screamed, I laughed, danced and marched together with everyone to demand my rights. Many of the women in the march carried signs with phrases written on them. Some in a tone of sarcasm, others in tones of battle. One of these posters that caught my attention read:

“They will never again have the comfort of our silence.”

We live in a world that sometimes seems to be destined to make us suffer, to disappear and to shut us up. It is true that not everything can be pink, but it can be purple. As women we must begin to shine, to blind our enemies with the brightness of our fighting souls that have only begun to twinkle. Part of this fight is in education, remember that it is never too late to start learning, so I give you my basic tools to start.

Here are some recommendations for books and Instagram accounts so that you can inform yourself.

empowering

Why is it to work with your image? When I was in high school and the time to decide what I wanted to study was finally approaching, there was only one option in my mind: Public Image. It was something that called me a lot since I was little and, although I had to explain more than 20 times what that was, people in the end always judged me with their eyes and told me that “learning how to dress people was something

very superficial”. Although I knew that my career involved much more than that, it was repeated so many times that it reached a point where I almost believed it. One day I found myself thinking that I was only feeding the system by making people believe that the outside was the most important thing and that if they didn’t have that, they were worth nothing.

Now I can say with absolute certainty that there are few things as empowering as deciding to work with your image. And I say it so sure because I have seen it on the faces of my clients many times. It’s like finding yourself in the mirror with a part of you that you haven’t seen for a long time.

Working with your image is reconnecting with you. It is not only putting on the clothes that are in trend and that’s it, but you have to look deeper into the background. You must recognize what it is that you are seeking to achieve with those garments and know what you communicate when you wear certain clothes. It’s taking back control of your appearance for yourself and no one else. It is looking in the mirror and loving what you see; To be able to say a compliment to you and know that, if you go out with that confidence, you can conquer the world. No, working with your image is not something superficial, on the contrary. It is learning to show that internal strength

The 6 commandments of

self love

I am here again girls, sharing a bit of myself with you in this space that Magari has given me to write to you. Today I wanted to talk to you about a topic that is already a lot on social networks but that we rarely talk seriously and without sounding trite, self-love.

In a personal way, finding self-love has not been as easy as our beauty, fitness guru and even as the social media therapist often says. I got to do many things as part of my “beauty routine” for trying to fit in, for wanting to see myself as X person on the internet, I felt bad and I was overwhelmed when I gained weight, when I lost weight, when I had a rush of acne, when my relationship didn’t work out and the first thing I thought about was…. it’s my physique, something in my physique must have been wrong, something in my person is wrong.

Crazy right? We women associate “how we look” with “how I deserve to be treated and how I feel”, although the external, the internal certainly influences (no matter how life coach it sounds) IF IT MATTERS AND A LOT.

On the blog I constantly receive comments from followers telling me that they would like their skin to look like me or their makeup to be so cool and things like that, thank you the flowers are appreciated hahaha but it also makes me some sad because I said and I have thought the same about other people and the truth is that not everything is what it seems, that super model with a great body I assure you that she has some insecurity with her body, something that she considers ugly and that she has had to deal with it, the blogger who seems to have the perfect life in networks, with a perfect marriage / partner surely also has its issues and its days where it wants to panic the husband / boyfriend, if I explain? We are not perfect and in that lies self-love.

After therapy, little by little, I have learned some things that I would like to share with you and that I hope will be useful to you in this search for Self-Love: 1.- Go to therapy, we all have things to improve but with professional help things flow faster and better. 2.- Self-love is born from loving yourself as you are, accepting yourself and knowing that even though you don’t like something about yourself, you love yourself and you have a thousand other things that make you feel good and that if you like them. 3.- Self-love is also pampering yourself, taking care of your face, eating healthier, exercising, dancing at home, doing what makes you happy alone or with someone. 4.- Self-love means that you will not accept less than what you really want, that you will not give up your dreams, desires or who you really are for anything or anyone. 5.- Self-love is also not comparing yourself…. You are the only comadre ... there is NOBODY like you outside and that is incredible. 6.- Self-love means letting go of everything that makes you feel bad about yourself. And now if ... how do I get that self-love?

WELL EASY…. Build it, little by little, professional help if it makes a huge change, have time for yourself, it does not matter if it is 5 minutes, you need time for yourself, learn to identify who you are and do not let go, when you least expect it you have already given it a step in the right direction, be honest with yourself and in less than a rooster crows, someone one day will tell you that you look very good, that if you did something to yourself and then you will not know what to answer because you think that You didn’t do anything but yes, you’ve been loving yourself a lot and that’s why those clothes, that makeup, that outfit that you chose makes you shine and you look spectacular, being YOU. I love you girls very much, I hope that this month of love you will practice self-love a lot and tell me if anything I wrote you helped you.

Life's too short to not do what you love! -Janelle Sweeney

Janelle started taking pictures as a hobby, when she moved from New Zealand to Paris, she tried to have other jobs, but in the end the path always led to her passion, photography. She started a business with a friend, and little by little she became more involved in photography, until it became a full-time job.

“It has been amazing to look back at the journey and to see where I am now.” -Janelle

She tells us that her father also enjoyed photography as a hobby, but beyond that, he is a person who enjoys finding the beauty of the world and capturing it.

“I love portrait photography. I love capturing emotion and genuine intimate moments. Everybody has a story, and I find people's stories so interesting. It's an honour to be able to capture special moments in a person's life and then to give them a timeless, magical gift - a photograph. So that forever, with this, they will have the memory of that moment and the emotions, feelings, and the magic they felt at that time. “ -Janelle

Following his dreams has not been easy, especially because "no one expects a global pandemic", but he has remained firm, since making the decision to do what he is passionate about has been the best thing for his life, to live happily and fully . For Janelle, the risk of failing is not as great as the risk of choosing a life where she is not truly happy.

Through the years women have been synonymous with bravery, strength and courage. I admire all those great warriors who fought for our rights and those who still continue to do so, women who raise their voices and face the world. Today we leave behind the fears and insecurities to go out to triumph and leave a mark. Today we not only walk, we fly as high as we want, we reach places that we would never imagine, we support each other, we empower ourselves, we work, we undertake and we believe in our magic. All women are born with super power and it is incredible to see and hear success stories that no matter the circumstances in which they are, they manage to move forward.

I give you my hand, I want you to know that you are not alone, let’s shout so loudly until our voices are one, the world is ours and united we are invincible. Your guts, your perseverance and your effort will be worth it, I believe in you. Today I hug you and applaud you because you have come very far, keep it up, I am sure that whatever your goal is, you will reach the goal triumphant and victorious but most importantly inspiring more women to be what they want to be.

#SkincareAddict by Cecilia TIPS EVERY SKINCARE ADDICT SHOULD KNOW

Hello everyone, I introduce myself my name is Cecilia Gomez, I have just graduated from a cosmetology degree, because of destiny I decided to study this beautiful and noble career, I have dedicated myself to guiding people

so that they have a closer relationship with skin and take care of it as it really should be, through Instagram, everything I have learned and learn every day I express with all my heart through that medium and I love it.

Now after my presentation I want to leave you some SkinCare tips that surely some of you already know and if not, I hope to help you start doing it the right way. Know your skin type. This point is essential to start taking care of your skin, all you need is to analyze your skin, if you notice that your skin is completely oily you are oily skin, if your skin is oily on the forehead, nose and chin and on the cheeks more dry you are combination skin and if your skin is completely dry you are team dry skin. If it is difficult for you to know your skin type, consult a skin professional, be it a cosmetologist or dermatologist.

Basic facial care routine. To start, you only need a cleanser, a moisturizer and sunscreen, with these it is more than enough for your skin to be clean, hydrated and protected. Consistency is the key. Every day, morning and night, without skipping any step, your skin will be healthier and healthier. Important: always keep your hands clean.

The hygiene of your hands when performing your facial care routine is important so as not to add dirt to your skin, so before cleaning your face wash your hands with soap and water. Assist with a cosmetologist for facial cleansing and with your dermatologist if you have any skin conditions. For me this is essential to take care of your skin correctly and something that we leave aside many times, the advice by professionals is to confirm that you are going on the right path.

Healthy skin, not perfect. Keeping this in mind is very important, that your goal is that and not having the skin of “x” person, do not compare yourself with anyone else, if you do not know the best version of yourself. Note: When you use your facial cleanser it is important to make circular movements on your face for 60 seconds, in this way the ingredients of your soap will be acting on your skin in a better way.

Nutri Charlie Healthy life = Strong woman

Hello, here I am again, let’s talk a little about how a change in life or healthy lifestyle makes it stronger. But actually, do you know why it is said “stronger” in the subject? It is not that only women exercise or are going to comply, we must know that women become stronger because it is a great challenge for them, be it physical or mental since we live in a country with a taboo of “women should to do a lot of weights because he is going to grow as a man or he simply should not do it because he will look very rough or with a very ugly body “, we have a stereotype where we think that he must be” fragile “both physically and mentally.

It is not only aesthetics, it is also to have a peace with our health, remember that aesthetics goes away with the years, but health is what helps us to have a long life. So girls, are you ready to break paradigms? Do not let any man or person ruin your dreams and goals.

We are going to give a better version, to create a different world where a woman can lead a healthy lifestyle without being criticized for the discipline in which she is placed. So we are going to change that chip in society about women and fitness.

Ontiptoes When I got on the plane to NY, after a month of gathering documents, the financial aid - which I will owe the rest of my life to the Yankee empire - pack half my closet, and say goodbye to my family, to Ensenada , my three cats and my toxic boyfriend. There, sitting, alone, with my life in two suitcases, was when I finally stopped to think “What the hell am I doing?”

I moved from coast to coast in the United States because I stayed in the master’s degree of my dreams and I never stopped to think if I was making the right decision. It was more a pulse in my heart and a voice in my head that reminded me of all my promises as a teenager “you will be a writer, you will not live your whole life on this island, go away!” And so I went to get on the plane.

a month I had not had time to cry for the security that I had abandoned ... whether I wanted to or not I was alone, just as I was alone when I I went to Oregon to learn English when I was 15 and when I went to Spain for five months on a student exchange at Although I arrived at 22 years old. five in the morning, I lay down to sleep on my inflatable mattress and cried, because in I came to the apartment of a stranger, where an old dog named Charlie lived, with arthritis and degenerative scabies that was killing her little by little ... she was the first to break my heart in the new city, as was my first study partner .

I have never regretted that decision. From not thinking and putting my mind on automatic until I get to a point where I say to myself “I can’t turn back.” And now I have a master’s degree from NYU, I am working in New York, I live with two cats that steal my heart every day and I committed myself to the love of my existence. When I was a child my mother baptized me as “the sun of the fa-

mily” because she was always smiling and, yes, she cried and had my tantrums, but in itself, it was unstoppable and my imagination was my limit. Adolescence took the rays from me ... and thanks to having “entered automatic” and having gotten on that plane three years ago, regardless of whether “I was a woman” or “I was little”, my volts recharged.

Andrea's Time

FASHION Hellooo! Today we are going to talk about a topic that I love, fashion. When we talk about this concept, we can enter into many opinions, tastes and debates, trends always change and it is the great haute couture designers who are involved in these drastic changes that happen year after year. My favorite fashion event is Fashion Week. Did they know him? This is one of the most important events that take place in this area, it takes place once a year and what I like the most is that it is an event that is all over the world, it begins a week in New York, then passes through London, then Milan and finally the famous city of love, Paris !! Can you imagine an event of these, full of buyers, celebrities, members of the entertainment world? I love it!

week

Definitely my favorite year of Fashion Week, it was in 2014, where the trends that set were Safari style with brown and military green colors, as well as white as a total style or one of my favorite trends, the queen halter neckline. Have you taken the time to see how fashion trends change every year? It’s super interesting how we let ourselves be influenced by public figures involved in fashion ... I hope you have enjoyed this article, do not forget to follow me on my social networks, I will be publishing some interesting information about the next trends in this 2021.
