meditations for an everyday relationship with Jesus
What did Paul tell Titus?
Titus 3:1 Remind them to be submissive to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work, to slander no one, to avoid fighting, and to be kind, always showing gentleness to all people. For we too were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, captives of various passions and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, detesting one another.

Believers must keep their eyes on the prize which is Christ Jesus. Paul was giving Titus direction on how to keep his church on Crete intact. However, Paul has broader and more contemporary appeal as we read his practical guide to living in a world that often views belief in God as a failure.
We must be kingdom people who turn the unnatural order of our world on its head. And we must never forget that we were once the foolish, disobedient and deceived.
We still struggle but we are stronger., wiser and less foolhardy ...
What child is this?
Luke 9:18–20 Once when He was praying in private, and His disciples were with Him, He asked them, "Who do the crowds say that I am?" And they answered, "John the Baptist; others, Elijah; still others, that one of the ancient prophets has come back." "But you," He asked them, "who do you say that I am?" Peter answered, "God's Messiah!"
Who do you say that He is? The answer will forever define you and your relationship with God. C.S Lewis said that unless Jesus was telling the truth about Himself He could not be a moral teacher, since He had obviously lied. Jesus would have been undeniably insane to have orchestrated His own death by the cross … the worst kind of torture!
So, if you are reading this, and cannot believe that Jesus is the Son of God, then who do you say that He is?
