When will the end come?

Revelation 22:12-13 “Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with Me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the last, the Beginning and the End.”

While many signs of the end are obvious, most are subtle. In Matthew it refers to “wars and rumors of wars,” and that these are but the “birthing pangs.” There are of course gatherings of the faithful, which are not new; but the microscopic focus on Israel and the Middle-East is new. God’s work will end where it began.

Decisions about where we place our faith cannot be put off, and we can no longer claim ignorance. We do not live in a vacuum, but on a globe, informed and vulnerable. The emergence of the Bible Code, the Nag Hammadi Library, the nation of Israel, and the Dead Sea Scrolls are but a sampling of the knowledge that God asks us to investigate. He is commanding us to look at the big picture and to be aware of “which way the wind is blowing.” the voice God gave me

Why not more than one master?

Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other … You cannot serve God and mammon [other gods, i.e. money, etc.]

What this tells us is that we cannot serve Christ and other gods; a decision must be made. None of us do particularly well with split loyalties, and our “jealous God” will simply not stand for it. Praise Him for forcing our hand! Hid jealous love for us actually makes the decision for Him far less complex. He offers one real option, not a buffet of alternatives.

Gather with those of one accord and behold Christ in the Holy Spirit. While you are on your faith journey continue ask Him for guidance, and actively seek Him out. He is not elusive. You will be blessed to discover that He is always there for us.
