meditations for an everyday relationship with Jesus
Do you love Me ...?
John 14:15-17 "If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever. He is the Spirit of truth, whom the world is unable to receive because it doesn't see Him or know Him. But you do know Him, because He remains with you and will be in you.”

“If you love me …” Have you ever had someone begin a conversation like this, and you know it is going to a very bad place? We are immediately on the defensive because in the flesh we know that a question like this is conditional; it will leverage our passion and our loyalty for the other person’s gain. You win, I lose.
Not so with Jesus. When we give ourselves to Him in spirit and truth we gain the whole world even though we lose our old lives. These are conditions which hold promise and blessing. Love Him!
Are our relationships broken??
2Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation; old things have passed away, and look, new things have come.
Today, instead of licking our wounds, and wallowing in self-pity, we are beginning to see that there are new ways to mend the relationships that are vital to us. We consider:
Our relationship with God (we are no longer what happened)
Our relationship with self (we are what can happen)
Our relationship with others (we are now pure potential)
Our relationship with creation (we are what God intended us to be)
