Are there other inspired writings?

John 21:24-25 This is the disciple who testifies to these things and who wrote them down. We know that his testimony is true. And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which, if they were written one by one, I suppose not even the world itself could contain the books that would be written.

In the Gospel of John the author who creates the epilogue for him wants us to know that Jesus’works, even though He ministered for only 3 years, is far more vast than any one book or collection can possibly contain.

Believers have struggled, as long as there has been breath, to put the mysteries of God into language that everyone can understand. Yet, we know that no language, or human utterance, can adequately represent the mighty and awesome nature of our God. Though men have written many books, and men have decided what our Bible would consist of, in the end they were led by the Spirit of God. There are not enough words, or the right words, to describe who God is or what He has done. He is way beyond words!

What is Charisma?

1 Corinthians 12:4-6 Now there are different gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different ministries, but the same Lord. And there are different activities, but the same God activates each gift in each person.

The Greek charismata if derived from the root charis meaning grace. Paul tells us that are different gifts and different ministries, so we should not get stuck on one gift or the other. It requires all gifts working together to fully represent the body of Christ.

Gifts cross denominational lines, and are not the sole property of any sect or institution. What is most important is how we use our gifts and talents to glorify God in the name of Jesus Christ. If we use our gifts or talents to further our own importance then we are dishonoring God and misleading those who need Jesus the most.

Find your gift; find your passion; but, by all means find Jesus!
