I will give you rain at the right time, and the land will yield its produce, and the trees of the field will bear their fruit.
I will give peace to the land, and you will lie down with nothing to frighten [you]. I will remove dangerous animals from the land, and no sword will pass through your land …”
Know that even today, especially in these last days, the following blessings are ours if we are obedient to our Lord Jesus:
It will rain at the right time
The land will yield its produce
Trees will bear their fruit
Peace will be given across the land
One can lie down without fear
Dangerous animals will be removed the voice God gave me
No sword will pass through your land.
Am I a captive?
Luke 4:17-19 The scroll of the prophet Isaiah was given to Him, and unrolling the scroll, He found the place where it was written: The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim freedom to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.
We are bound by our discipleship to go out and carry the message of good news to the poor, to proclaim freedom to all captives, recovery of sight to the blind, and freedom to the oppressed. Which one of us cannot identify at one time or another with being poor in possession & in spirit, captive to our sin, blind to the healing grace of Jesus Christ and oppressed by some one or some thing?
However, now that we have a pretty good idea just what it means to taste freedom from a lifestyle that kept us forever in bondage, it is time to go out and tell others what we have discovered!
