Peaceable kingdom

God has this

2 Chronicles 20:17 You do not have to fight this battle. Position yourselves, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD. He is with you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid or discouraged. Tomorrow, go out to face them, for Yahweh is with you.’ ”

Tomorrow go out and face whatever is your battlefield and know that God is already there to slay the enemy. He simply wants you to show up in faith.

We are not required to do the hand to hand or sword to sword combat, but to be of a sound spirit and a passionate single mindedness. Don’t confuse this with being perfect. If you wait to be perfect you will never go out to meet your Goliath.

Size doesn’t matter, by the way.

God is bigger than your biggest adversary!

Recount His glory and seek His deliverance

Numbers 6:22-26 The LORD spoke to Moses: “Tell Aaron and his sons how you are to bless the Israelites. Say to them: May Yahweh bless you and protect you; may Yahweh make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; may Yahweh look with favor on you and give you peace. ”

There are many beautiful prayers in the Bible; The Lord’s Prayer and The Magnificat, to name a couple. Yet, the prayer of grace in the Book of Numbers is one of the oldest and most reassuring in all of Scripture.

There is the direct invocation of God to be with us in the blessing, but not as a wrathful or punishing figure. This manifestation of Yahweh suggests a loving and affirmative countenance or face of God smiling and well pleased. God’s appearance shines on the recipient and causes them to glow like Children of Light, warriors of the faith. Additionally there is the closing to confer favor and peace as the blessed assembly goes out.

This prayer of blessing is simple, well rounded, and overflowing with assurance. It can be used anytime a blessing is required.
