Faith is what we rely on, and it is sustained or fed by the Holy Spirit. Believing is a choice, but faith is a gift. Paul tells us in the Second letter to the Corinthian church not to get caught up in the appearances of things, but what is unseen and spiritual. Appearances, as we know, can be deceiving. The work of the Holy Spirit is its own best evidence and is discerned or understood clearly by those willing to accept the truth, which is Christ Jesus the voice God gave me
What we lay physical eyes on is temporary and will decay and go back to the earth. What is invisible is no less real, but the caveat is that it will never cease to be in its current state. It is endless, limitless and unchanging. It is absolute. We need our guidepost.
Praise God!
Hebrews 13:15 Therefore, through Him let us continually offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, that is, the fruit of our lips that confess His name.
We crawl up onto the altar, a living sacrifice. We praise Him and we pray that we are committed enough not to roll off the altar at the first hint of discomfort.
We must intentionally relieve Jesus on the cross by remaining on the altar.
