The reality
Matthew 26:75 And Peter remembered the words Jesus had spoken, "Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times." And he went outside and wept bitterly.
Peter is each one of us: foundational building blocks of the universal church held intact by the cornerstone, Jesus. Afoundation without its cornerstone cannot remain. Building blocks crumble and are scattered. Without their cornerstone They have no purpose.

A foundation that has no integrity, no cornerstone, cannot support anything built upon it. Afoundation in Christ cannot be scattered nor destroyed. It remains when all else is swept away by the fear and uncertainty of the current age.
The rock Peter was flawed, but remained intact because of its proximity to the cornerstone. Stones placed together strategically have incredible strength.
